I'm not sure what "advanced license" they're talking about. There isn't one, and California doesn't even have a license, it has a certificate which is a little bit different. You either have the certificate or you don't. Definitely shows that Cypress is trying to crack down though.

I did get in there, but to see Sophia at the Garden Grove branch rather than Talina, because my schedule and hers don't sync up.

There's Sarang, and there's the two places on Valley View & Lincoln (Rainbow and I think the other place is called Mind & Body or something like that). Cypress Day Spa has already been shut down. All 3 of the other places are FS joints. Rainbow has been raided and shut down multiple times, only to reopen again. Sarang has been around for years (it was called Naeun before it was called Sarang, but that same building has been operating as an AMP for at least 20 years if not longer). New Spa has never been more than a jack shack as far as I'm aware. It was always a reliable, inexpensive spot for me, but my last two visits I got nothing and they know me there. Something is definitely up in the neighborhood, and it's not just your pole. LOL. I'd steer clear of Cypress for a while.

Interesting point, I was wondering about that too. I saw a cruiser parked out near Sarang a few months ago and hadn't heard anything. With Nirvana closed I was wondering if there might be tighter scrutiny on other locations.

Cypress is making a concerted effort to squeeze out its MPs. Generally when it's just an inspection it's not LE, it's city code enforcement sending an inspector in to do a license check. If it's LE, especially multiple agencies, it's more likely something more serious like a raid or an ICE check to make sure everyone's documented. Possibly just intimidation to try to scare them off. I know I stopped going there recently because the HJs stopped.

The thing is there's Sarang not far away, which is a FS place, and I haven't heard anything about LE bothering them. New Spa may just be an easy target.

Where is this "New Spa"? Past history will show that the city of cypress loves to crack down on massage parlors hard core.
