I'd be more concerned with my privacy using an AirBnB place as some people have been known to set up secret security cameras to keep an eye on their property while its rented out.

I've found the Priceline Express deals will usually beat Hotwire on price and sometimes I'll even still use the old Priceline bidding on the room option to try and save a little more. I've also found the Priceline phone app to be a lot easier to use than Hotwire.

Most hotels, especially the big busier ones, are not going to pay much attention to a single guy checking in even if using the same hotel multiple times.
