I am not a lawyer or involved in government. I am, in fact, a retired senior living in Kentucky. I follow these Orlando boards since I try to get down there at least once a year for "massages" and the like.

I read analyses of this new law, and I did nor see ANYTHING about massage parlors collecting and retaining customer information. Everything seems to be focused on employee information, the prevention of human trafficing, and lessening the threshhold for shutting down massage parlors that permit / encourage sexual activity of any kind (even L1).

Over $1 million has been allocated for enforcement of this new law. That funds 8 new fulltime emplowees for the entire state. I think I read that there are a little under 700 licensed massage parlors in Florida. 8 employees is not a huge commitment, but if just one of the Big 5 gets shut down, with common ownership and word of mouth among employees, this law could change the massage parlor landscape significantly. And unfortunately, this forum could bring focus to Orlando sooner than later.

Florida was once known for easy access to pain pills through pain relief clinics. The State passed laws to change that situation. Full service massage parlors may be heading down that same path shared with the buggy whip.

Well that will be some major bs! It reminds me when they went after all the pain center in fl. They stopped the medical side and it just moved to the street.

If that law goes into effect it will move to SW and escorts. The AMP girls will relocate to other locations.
