So far no replies. Although I'm not a senior member, I have tried to contribute in most all categories as much as my funds allow. I am as skiddish as a stray cat so I don't ventrue to far from a small comfort zone. So posting for me was a leap of faith. So in a way its okay, but I would like to donate to a providers personal charity all the same.

Hi gang,
I just saw this posted on BP. I don't know the accuracy of the source, but of course, I wanted to share the link with everyone.

From what I can tell from a Google search, texting 22428 hooks you to a text chat service. Must be a total scam. To bad, cause the girl in the ad is just my type.

Another hint for those of you trying to find women on craigslist's casual section. Check the email header information. If you can see more advanced info like the 'reply to' address you will see that a lot of spammers have a different "from" address than their "reply to" address.
Similarly, a lot of spammers will write in the email body another email address that you should reply to rather than the one that they sent it from. They will say something like "I'm writing from my friends account, email me back at something@else.com". They might also give AIM/Yahoo info in their craigslist post or email, chances are that is spam.
Anyways, I've put up about 4 posts on craigslist and I usually get 1 legit person that I meet up with each time (3/4). So far they haven't been as hot as some of the pros, but where I live there are few local pros that fit my type.

Posts: 512For those of you trying your luck on CL Casuals
Here are two bits of advice...
The first one is so "obvious" it usually gets overlooked. READ THE POST CAREFULLY. You will often find references to "just moved here to X" and you live no where near X, let alone anything similarly named X. You'll also notice common and repeated phrases. Ones the spammers, phishers, and bot nets have all found useful to luring suckers in the past.
The second is, while following the advice above, be on the look out for punctuation that makes no sense, excessive or oddly replacing letters with numbers, oddly placed underscores or hyphens between two or more words (especially ones that are completely unrelated to conveying an idea in the English language).
Sure a few will be poor Babblefish, Bing!, or Google translations. A few may even be the crappy English spelling and grammar of the Nigerian prince who is going to use a portion of his share of the $25 million USD he is temporarily storing in your bank account to buy Hooked On Phonics. The majority, however, are pattern identifiers in the text that are used by automated response systems and bots. If you think CL is slim pickings, try the Bot/Spammer hell known as backpage.com > personals > orlando women seeking men. Plenty of examples of what I am talking about.
Do those things and you'll keep the spammers, scammers, and bots to a minimum.Last edited by Michael Caffey; 02-24-10 at 03:47. Reason: Hukd ahn Fonix wurkt 4 me

Posts: 18ANNE - The Real Deal
There are some things going on with Anne right now that are probably the cause here. Have seen her since these posts and would say without a doubt best experience of my life. As far as I can tell she keeps a very small list of clients. Truly sorry I don't live where she lives.

I just posted in our new thread and am a little nervous. Since we are trying to keep uncle leo from crashing our parties is there anyone we know and trust to use as a consultant to verify our pm's by the providers. I have used Magics recomendations in the past and was very pleased with his help. Since I haven't had the pleasure of meeting others in pm or otherwise. So this is me putting myself out there for the guidence of the veterans. I want to be in this game for as long as it keeps me safe. Since there are only a few that advertise in our escort section I am a little apprehensive of who might respond. I figured a collective response from each other will help everyone out since we all want our dreams to come true and should work together to keep ol uncle off our back.

I've been using the CL casuals for a couple years and have had some good experiences, but not in the last couple months. There has always been a lot of spam and I agree with Jethro that it becomes easy to spot as soon as it comes in.
The best experience was a hot little puerto rican who was flying through OIA and had an overnight layover. I went and picked her up on a rare occasion when I could host. Otherwise she was going to have to spend the night in the airport. I made her a light dinner and then had fun for a couple hours, slept a few hours, and had fun again before taking her back to the airport in the early morning. I had indicated that I would give her something, but she never asked for it. Gave her $ at the airport when I dropped her off for an overnight of fun.
The last couple months though I only get spam and a local pros that charge too much. I'm always looking to do better than what I can get on bp which I seem to be able to find decent quality for $ or less these days on bp. The few real responses on casuals lately all have wanted more than $.
