Stg doesn't know the address just that a vpn is used. Anytime you deal with the government they are going to find you if they want to. You should make sure they didn't put virus on your computer to give them access. Stay safe.

The why it relates to the hobby? Because I don't want the police raid some office somewhere, finding my IP, and then banging on my door at 2 am.
The blog? Because we may all benefit from this information and it won't get buried in the forum.
My guess is many of us a technically savy and use some form of security in the hobby, apparently you don't, but I wish you would. With the right type of warrant a judge can get your phone and computer history, and the divorce attorney will be very happy to empty your bank account for you soon to be ex.
Spaz.
PS: PIA VPN is 35$ a year. Way cheaper than an attorney!

It blocks your computers IP address and sends out a different one (I think) so no one can identify you while you are on questionable sites (not that there's anything wrong with that). I'm sure some more knowledgeable mongers will chime in soon with much better information.
