I honestly did not 'sample any merchandise' up there (in point of fact I couldn't stand Dennis Hof). But all the catty stripclub-back room-drama aside, the girls there were quite happy with their work and money, and how they could work safely and cleanly with Nevada's regulations and regular health checks. Clientele also don't go to the trouble of heading up an hour and a half from Vegas just to act like jackholes with the girls. They got jerks and clowns but nobody dangerous, nobody trying to push anything or pimp them or whatever.
I didn't like Hof and thought he was a scumbag who loved to play a grotesque "Daddy" to the girls so he could bang all of them, and he certainly tried to give favoritism to those who did. But plenty of women including some porn stars worked there for a straight monetary deal. One or two girls seemed a bit strung out on something, but never saw any needle marks and nobody nodding off in mid-sentence. Hygiene was always top notch insofar as I could tell sitting close to some of them and talking for long stretches (actually the biggest issue many days is total boredom. It's never really packed to the walls busy there except on major celebrity occasions).
So both for clients AND providers, I saw no sign that making it legal and regulated did anything but prove a benefit, not some slippery slope to an evangelical Hellpit. I've seen more signs of exploitation, trafficking, depravity and outright hideousness where it's illegal, the harsher the law the more extreme the opposition of its reality. It's not utopia, but it's way closer to a real civilized exchange and handling of things than what we have in the rest of the supposedly moral, upstanding states.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with activity partners on Craigslist? There seem to be a lot of people on there, but communication is behind the Craigslist email wall. Just wondering if it is worth any effort.

Not sure why but I thought back of the early days of the internet and the working girls from back in the day. One of my all time faves was a young gal out of Columbus called Staci Luv. Literally 15+ years ago. Curious if any of you CBus guys remember her (the veteran dinosaur mongers like me LOL). She was a sweet gal for sure. Anyone ever hear about her lately? Love to hear that she's doing well these days. Be safe out there all!

Posts: 114To monger, or not to monger. That is the question
I have mongered some 7 yrs in Columbus, but truly did it all my life. Looking for sex in relationships, and often just wanting the sex. I know the addictive element, but my heart is in the right place. I try to help people where I can. Even support or laud the ladies for the service they provide (everyone needs to be reminded of their goodness if the planet is to continue its evolution. And there be a few less idiots in the world!
So internet surfing and finding this. I'm passing it on:
"Whatever sex is, and it is at least a profound mystery, is easily misused. The primary psychological purpose of sex for those men who spend their lives in the cold, cruel world, and whose relationship with their own anima is frigid, is to reconnect with a warm place. Sex is a form of emotional reassurance, a narcotic to still the pain of the bruised soul. If life batters them, then sex, like drugs or work, may numb the wound. The sexual act offers a momentary transcendence. Orgasm can be an ecstatic experience; for the moment one may feel outside the iron confines of ordinary consciousness. It is the closest many men ever come to a religious experience. Thus the act of sex may mask a desperate search for acceptance, underneath whih lurks the mother complex. ".
