We were under attack for several weeks by some botnet/AI that would register 1000's of users and send 10 DM's with each user spamming a sex site. We had to make it not worth their time to be here so setting the time between messages to 300 was one of the things we did. It's been a week or so since they registered and we made the decision today to lower it. I'm not sure if it's done yet but if not it will be soon.

2) Is "moderation" a life sentence? It really isn't THAT big of a deal, but being stuck on moderation puts your posts back a ways on very active threads because they get inserted based on the date / time they were originally submitted instead of the date / time the moderator approved the post. That causes some posts to never be noticed by some people. It would really be appreciated if parole were allowed after some period of time. I'm sure some people likely give up and just create a new account over this, but I've got over 1500 posts and quite a few years here, so that's not an option I prefer to consider. Any chance of a guy catching a break and getting a second chance?

In your case yes, it's a life sentence. You posted a picture and outed a monger. What the fuck do you expect?

Today I went to reply to some of my pm. And I noticed the 300 sec timeout. Before the one minute was already long enough. Is there a reason the timeout for pm is 5 minutes now?

I think this used to be 60 seconds between sending private messages. Now it seems it's 5 minutes (300 seconds). Was this intentional? When we can't post #'s and when we want to share a #, 5 minutes is going to make responding to requests take forever.

First I want to apologize for a post I inadvertently made on the the Nevada. Las Vegas. Escort Reviews Thread. It was not my intention to post prohibited content, for which I received a citation. With the changes in society, many pre op and post op trans women are very beautiful. I would hope the owner would consider allowing members to discuss them. Some pist op trans providers try to hide they are post op. Allowing discussion would inform those that are not interested in seeing a trans provider.

I have searched this site many times and have not determined how Moderators and Admin are assigned. Actually I have found little on the workings of this site. Does anyone know how many people are used as Mods and Admin? What is the difference? And how are they assigned?

Then give someone the (largely argumentative) reply. Wouldn't it be easier for the user to learn what they did wrong if they could see the post in question. This would be a great way to learn from you're mistake.

And what does the dates mean? Does this mean you can't post until that date is reached. I'll go and read the rules and faq page maybe I'll learn more there.

While they may seem obvious to an experienced user, much an less admin or moderator, it is difficult for new users like me to understand where the line is on this forum for posts that break somewhat subjective rules like "argumentative" when the content of other users' past comments that did cross the line are deleted.

Obviously content that posts personal information or spam must be deleted, and perhaps those that go way over the line, but when the current rules (if I understand them correctly) expect 50 flawless first posts, including following rules like "argumentative" that are not even mentioned in the "Posting Guidelines" warning at the top, without room for any correction or feedback, while not having guidelines at least in the form of other users' past comments that crossed the line, it makes it rather difficult for us new users to understand.
