Sorry to hear about this. Years ago LE was conducting a sting by the Pep Boys on west ECB. I pulled up and told the decoy that was not interested after made me a offer. Saw this other guy pull up she told him to pull around the vice busted him. Was really sad to see some poor arrested. The best way to fight this is to higher a aggressive lawyer & have him file a bunch of motions. Go to the arraignment & have the attorney plead not guilty and demand jury trial. There is fairly good chance the city attorney will drop the case between then and the trial. There is fairly good chance the city attorney will drop the case especially if this your first offense. Usually the city attorney is not interested in wasting tax money on a misdemeanor trial. You always have the option of changing your plea to guilty on the day of the trial if the case is not dropped. The good thing however is that you can go to john school They will drop the case if you stay clean. The good thing is that they have online john schools you can attend. The live john schools were awful. They were simply some cops and some girls giving you this day long guilt trip. You had to listen to them yell at you and you could not respond.

Where were you caught? Kearny Mesa or Mission Valley? My friend was caught in Mission Valley but released and no tickets. The cops told him they did setup 2 locations the same week.

I wish they let me go like your friend. It was at neither location. It wasn't an online sting. It was a decoy pretending to be a street walker prostitute, set up trap at a motel room.

The only time I was kicked out of a hotel was in HI and was just 86 d, they had no evidence and guess the hotel security must have noticed the foot traffic for the specific room. I just party in TJ or AMPs now and rarely see listcrawler providers unless a few people have posted reviews. Good luck with the situation.

I feel what you're going through. I've been there. I was caught in the 2010's. It was through a undercover street sting.

Here's what you need to know:

Hire a lawyer (cost me $700).

They have you take a HIV test (I went to sports arena).

They have you go to HIV / AIDS class. 2 hr session. $20 for the certificate, Hillcrest area.

PIP (Prostitution Impact Panel) it's a 3 hr session listening to ex prostitutes, johnny law, and vice story. $200 for the certificate.

Mine was lessen down to PC415.

Court fees and fine was a little over $500.

I wasn't taken to jail that night. No car repo. Photos were taken.

Not a nice thing to go through. I think they gave me a 3-5 year probation.

Let us know how it goes, if anything has change, or any differences.

See that's the thing the prices were way too low I thought it was a scammer so I started the conversation expecting her to say stop and buy gift cards or send cash app then I'll give you room number or something but that didn't happen. In fact when I text her she told me a different higher more believable price. Plus she sent picture verification (it wasn't the girl in the photo in the ads) that should have sent up red flags but the cop that did take the picture was kind of cute LOL and I talked to her on the phone. The biggest red flag tho and I am so stupid for ignoring it was she offered me bare just randomly I was so freaked out my it I didn't even respond yes I said same cost? She said $20 extra only and I said that's in my budget. Then again she said "so bare yeah? To which I replied I'll bring condoms. My brain knew something was wrong but my dick does most of the decision making.

It's not a dead giveaway but seems to be common tactic when conducting these stings to attract as much low hanging fruit as possible. What I am wondering is the pics they use actual models that agree to pose specifically for the sting? Are they female cops? I'm sure they can't use someone else's photo without permission.

I wouldn't be surprised if the ladies trashed the place or left major clues as to what the place was used for. Dirty towels, wrappers left around, party hats in the trash or clogged the toilets.

I wonder if some of these residences have nest or ring cameras that send motion notifications to the owners. It would be awkward to get caught on the facial recognition for some of these cameras.
