Curious as to how many of you have sugar babies and how much you pay them? I have had a few with mixed results. Have paid from $$$ and up. Have a good one now but she is expensive.

You can give them a credit card and tell them it is for the hold. You then have to go and checkout. They will again ask if you want the charges on your card? Say no, I want to pay with cash and pay for the room. You will see the hold in on-line banking, but unless something is actually charged to the card, nothing will show on the monthly credit card statement.

As long as you resolve the stay with an alternate date before the closing date. Some gas stations charge up to $100 on a hold while some hotels charge less. I'm going to try the pre-paid cc at least 20% more than the stay and also try just cash. I'm inclined to do the nasty at a nicer place, but if she isn't complaining why bother over doing it.

That works most of the time. Just 2 weeks ago I used that technique at a legitimate service business and paid using a different method at the end. The charge still appears on my account and I'm now forced to dispute it through my credit card company. It will be a pain in the ass for me to resolve the charge, but not a big deal. If this happens at a hotel to a married man, it could mean disaster on the home front.

I've used VISA gift cards successfully. But you have to get the card for at least 20% more than the total cost of the hotel room--to cover any incidentals or damage that you might run up. Can't be sure all hotels take gift cards, but I've used them at Ramada, Hyatt, and Quality Inn locations in Maryland over the years.

Had the same question. Was concerned about any "holds" or hotel data showing up on the monthly statement. I've heard that Motel 6 in Gaithersburg does allow you to pay cash without the use of credit or debit card. But I've yet to try it out. That came from a fairly reliable source.
