Well, I've posted a couple of ads on CL just for the hell to see if it works at all. I really wasn't expecting much but thought it was worth the 5 minutes of writing an ad. No picture. A mention of roses and let's see what happens. Yes, there are about 95% spam that comes through but using a bogus email account, who cares. It is pretty easy to assess them. But it really has worked well. Just took a young bitty to Charlotte for the weekend after nailing her a couple of times here. It cost me a phone bill (40) for the weekend plus food and drinks. Not much at all. Last night, had another come to a place I have access to for a quick BBBJCIM. That cost me all of 20. They contact you because they need something quick. All in all, I've ended up meeting 7 or 8 in two ads, with the most being 50 for everything and she came to my spot. Not a bad gig.

My point being, it does work. I was skeptical, but it does.

Yes, so here's how this works.

Demandtracker is a search application. What they do is post fake ads to scrape phone numbers (folks who call or text the ad), and these numbers are added to a searchable database; this allows anyone (a prospective employer, say) to run a search on a number, and it pulls up the ad, time of contact, etc.

In some versions, texting the fake ads also triggers a response with a link, presumably to background a client, but actually to build a profile or run analytics or the like.

I assume the intent of the creators is to get it to start being used as a standard augmentation of background checks by HR, LE, insurers, etc. So they can cash in on an acquisition, or maybe start charging for removal; who knows? I can think of serious problems with their model (namely, chain of custody issues).

Or they could be actual activists; it still seems like a money-angle thing, though. Another reminder to use burner phones!

I am also a member of the club I get so many of those X rated texts ALL the time asking me to do this and that to them or watch and join some Cam show etc.

I don't agree with Niteluvr. Sure they might. The photos just would not be legit. Just try to search the web for the photos.
