Let's be clear about this. There is no crime in picking up a minor so long as you don't solicit her or engage in any sexual activity. If you knowingly commit a sexual act then you deserve to go to jail.

I almost never go up Aurora, but last night I ventured all the way up to 145th from Hostess and saw absolutely nothing. Sorry - I missed this post earlier. To get the maximum benfit from cruising Rainier, i'd head up I-5 to I-90, go east and shortly you will see the exits for Rainier st. Take the south exit.

I consider the entire strip on Rainier to be fair game from Yesler/Jackson all the way south to Seward. Check all the bus stops and areas around apartment complexes for max benefit. Emphasis should be given to the area around Othello St.

One word of caution, though - last night I picked up a very nice gal near Othello and she told me that both Tuesday and Thursday nights around Rainier are what the gals in the neighborhood call "Vice Nights". I did notice previously that there seemed to be much heavier police presence and I often see quite a few cars pulled over on those nights. It would probably be best to just avoid the area altogether during those evenings.

Also, Rainier northbound eventually turns into Boren - the area around Boren/Yesler can be good for neighborhood girls and periodically I see some fairly okay ones out strolling. Make sure you pay attention to the side-streets around Yesler runing east/west from Boren up to 23rd, i've seen some good action around there. If nothing is out and you want to try Denny Park, AAA or Hostess, Boren will take you all the way to Denny and the general strolling areas.

If you are looking for the hot, dirty-girl-in-boots type, AAA or Hostess on weekends is probably what you want. Rainier won't really offer you this type of experience, you'll mainly get neighborhood girls who stroll occassionally for extra money and don't really offer the sexy-girl image of the full-timer.

Anyway. Yes, if a minor is picked up and kicked to the curb, I agree, that the right action was taken. But if a monger decided that he got off the track with and not seen with her and might as well do the date with her, he in my opinion is now doing the crime, so he better be prepared for doing the time.

Chubbs, I'm not sure what to think here, you're quoting Hiz but saying you disagree with me, maybe you hit an "H" instead of a "C". I agree with you that the monger has a lot more to lose than the provider in a case like this. But I'm not sure I agree that it serves the monger right to go to jail. We've, myself included, all picked up minors on the stroll before. It's the reason why we check ID and kick to the curb those that don't have it. So I don't think that picking one up and then deciding she looks too young should be a jailable offense.

So even if you get stopped she probably not going incriminate you for solicitation. But this does not justify picking up a minor in any case.

I had no intention of going out tonight, but after giving myself a haircut and ogling in the mirror for a few minutes, I decided that I just couldn't deny some working girl my fabulous experience.

I pulled up into Hostess shortly after midnight and was greeted by nobody - no girls anywhere and no scent trail to pick up on. I did a couple loops, then went over to AAA which was surprisingly quiet. Rolling into the target area near Othello, I spotted a police car parked on the sidewalk and an officer who looked remarkably like Denzel Washington questioning a tall black kid at a bus stop while holding flashlight up in his face. While at the stop light, I can hear the officer talking very loudly and sternly at the kid. Meanwhile, the rest of what seemed like the entire neighborhood were gathered around on every corner of the next block watching intently. It's funny how when the police merely roll through, you see everyone scatter to disappear. But once the police narrow their sights onto someone, everyone suddenly wants to hang around.

While everyone was gathered up nicely for my review, I spied a few girls that looked like they could possibly be working girls. the difference between the bar owner and myself is she didn't show me what i would have thought to be government-issued id.

i asked her for id, indicating i thought she could have been **** (i'm screwed at this point for admitting i thought she was ****). the fact that i didn't see her id and thought she was ****--well i wouldn't gamble with this one.

if i had seen an id that even resembled her, i'd have her number and would have hit it 2-3 more times by now and sold the number to civ (kidding, the first one is one the house :> ).

i recently saw an article, granted it was in the stranger, but it said since the guy made a good faith effort to determine the girls age he was not guilty of having sex with an **** girl and it mentioned it was part of the law.

it makes sense to me. say an **** person walks into a tavern and immediately gets carded. they hand the bouncer a valid driver's license that says they are 21. if later the cops come in and find the id is fake, i don't think the tavern owner can be prosecuted. he made every effort to determine the drinkers age and was fooled.

it is true that ignorance of the law is no excuse, but in this case if you're tricked and fooled by the provider despite doing everything possible to be in compliance with the law, then i think you'd be okay. myself, i just keep checking id's. a lot of guys say that fake id's are easy to come by, but if that's true how come most of the time they won't show it to me?

of course, you'd need a good attorney to defend you in a case like this and most want the whole amount upfront. a good attorney for a case like this starts at about 25 thousand dollars. and worth every penny.
