Oppose House Bill 1362 - Need your action - NOW

First, read the story here

This bill states that "Vehicle Impoundment and penalty $500 - Upon an arrest for a suspected violation of patronizing a prostitute"

Read carefully - "suspected" johns. Not Convicted Johns. That is why it is important : This bill takes your right away - It is going to be a law soon that punishes based on arrest. Only a conviction in the court should lead to punishment. Now the police has unfair advantage. They just have to suspect and make you pay $500. Please fight against it. If you read closely, you can later "challenge the validity of an impoundment" (meaning, you get your money back if the impounding process mentioned in the bill is not followed).

How much risk do I have that I get on the wrong side of the law ?

I wouldn't reccomend an agency girl at all. There are too many providers on the various Seattle escort review boards where you can find out virtually everything you need to know before jumping in.

There's something fishy about the article. $2,500 bail? The article describes some pretty heavy felonies; bail of 100K would be more likely. This story may cook down considerably. But it's always good to be sure of age.

Yep, no big deal, since picking up a SW is not illegal. The only time they would impound your vehicle is if you get caught offering money to a police decoy for sex. Since the men that post here know that a police decoy won't get in your vehicle, the chances of getting our cars impounded is almost zero. Of course it will scare the infrequent or newbie monger away from the hobby.

It's just impounding as opposed to confiscation which I believe is the way it works in Portland. I don't think it's a big deal - you have be sort of an idiot to get caught soliciting in Seattle.
