They are leveraging Freesia's past fully booked performance to arrive at a price point that represents maximum gains with minimal downtime. People need to realize that things like this has happened in the past, Rebecca and Sexy Shannon comes to mind. Maybe not to this extent but it's incredibly important to note that these are special cases and not the norm. It's almost a given that SBC would capitalize on it while they still can. The law of large numbers and normal distribution dictates that people of Freesia's caliber won't be popping up on a consistent basis.

Ultimately, it's going to depend on everyone's individual perspective on what they are looking for in this hobby (looks, personality, performance, etc.) and how much they're willing to spend to obtain the value / satisfaction they seek. If you don't see the value of seeing Freesia, that's fine too. But for a some, Freesia is worth seeing.
