This, unless there's a digital footprint proving that someone solicited for services explicitly, a name on a list means nothing. One can always claim that his identity was stolen. Super bummed about this tho.

Yup, just read the news reports and it mentions the verification process and I'd's. Question is will this have leggs and will the busts filter down to the store front AMPs.

    Bad

Does anyone know what happened to the customer database when Bad got busted? Did it ever get leaked?

You will be fine until somebody leaks the list to the press (as it happened with the zumba lady) or publishes it online. Then you are not going to be fine anymore.

The probability of this outcome went up big time when they mentioned that there are politicians on the list(s). There would be people willing to find out who those politicians are.

It was a matter of time

Like I said before, they asked for personal information that a lot of us refused to give and didn't give this agency a try. Those that were obsessed with Shu, took a chance on it. Hopefully, they destroyed all the material like they said they would. But, from this raid, it doesn't appear that way. Hopefully, none of us here are affected by it. I wish that LEO would put this much effort on other crimes. Stay safe everyone.

Best Advice from Lawyers when you get asked or stopped. STFU.

People should worry more about a Federal employee leaking the list to a news org.

Yea, there's nothing they can really do. So your name is in a data base. They got nothing on you. It's just the potential to get outed to family and employer. I wouldn't worry a wit about legal issues. It's the SO I'd be afraid of. Employer in this day and age would be a concern.

Headline. VP of company xyz was found in the recorded of BTT.

Not to be alarmist, but this is what I'm getting when I go to the site.
Assume that's who it is. Similar way it happened with BAD I guess. I haven't used BTT in a while but my info was probably given up like with BAD.

This is why I could never bring myself to get verified by BTT or any of the other agencies. I knew this was going to happen eventually. Sorry if some mongers on this forum got caught up in this.
