Cheap and FAST on demand STI testing

My experience with government testing in New Jersey wasn't a very good one. While it was cheap (free) and relatively fast (3 days) they pretty much hounded me for weeks afterward. I didn't have an STI but I did have a UTI and they called me nearly every day to make sure I was ok, taking my medicine, etc. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had an STI. In any event, your information is in the hands of the government if you use the government-run clinics and they ask you a LOT of questions about why you want the tests, what your sexual activities are, who you have sex with, whether or not you use prostitutes, etc. And they lecture you endlessly about safe sex practices, and pregnancy risks.

I use my doctor. I can call the office and get an order for the blood work. I have a good relationship with my doctor so this works. He generally writes the order the same day and I go the next day to the lab for the draw and he gets the results back in another day or two. The problem with this is that they don't test for every possible thing but just the basics: HIV, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis C and Chlamydia.

TTS tests for a lot more including HPV, Hep A&B, Trichomonas Vaginalis, and TREP-SURE EIA. According to their site, the panel runs $155 plus draw, collection and shipping fees which vary depending on where you go. Some places in NYC that totals about $80, other places it's more, some places it's less. There's a place near the Meadowlands, NJ where the total is $65 for draw, and shipping with free collection of swabs. If you go to one of their headquarter sites like LA or Miami, it's free. The advantage to TTS is that they test a lot more as I said, and if you see porn stars it's more widely accepted. I know plenty of porn stars who won't accept my tests through my doctor but would accept the tests through TTS. TTS is also very fast. Sometimes even next day.

I have a similar relationship with my doc, usually I can just speak to the assistants in the office and they'll just do it for me, but the office is only available to call during the week and the labs (quest, lab corp, etc), usually take at least 3 days to send the results.

Chelsea and the other NYC clinics don't hound you. I thought I had something once and they give you the meds before the results come back (negative for me) so they don't hound you either way, since you've already been treated.

Regardless of the a few annoying calls the free clinics a great resource. I hope everyone is getting tested and treated regularly for the overall good of the mongering community LOL. Stay safe.

Do you get a print or emailed lab report of the results back?

Last time I went to a free clinic was years ago. It was in the upper 90's, I walked in early in the morning like 8 am, had to wait like maybe 2 hours, then told them I wanted to be screened for everything. They gave me a bit if lip service because "there's no such thing as everything we can test you for x,why, z etc. ", so I said fine whatever. After sitting in a waiting room for several hours watching the same videos that I watched in HS health / sex ed class on repeat, they called me. They had a doctor first physically check me downstairs, then they had someone concil me and then eventually had me do a saliva swab and I believe they drew blood as well. I got a call back a few days later saying I was all clear, but never got any documentation or reports.

As much as I appreciate being able to get checked if I suspect having something, I'm more focused on being able to get screened and get a report in as quick turnaround time as possible without having to pay more than 50 to 100 bucks for it and / or having to wait more than 2 days.

Chelsea and the other NYC clinics don't hound you. I thought I had something once and they give you the meds before the results come back (negative for me) so they don't hound you either way, since you've already been treated.

Regardless of the a few annoying calls the free clinics a great resource. I hope everyone is getting tested and treated regularly for the overall good of the mongering community LOL. Stay safe.

A lot depends on which government entity is in control and what the political climate is at the time. Things can change at any time. Just like when FOSTA / SESTA passed and changed our world.

I posted this here because I didn't really see a thread on this in other forums.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like it's very difficult to find a place where you can walk in, pay $50- $100, have them draw blood / urine / swabs etc, and then provide you with a lab report of your full panel STI results within 24-48 hours.

The best I'm able to do is get a requisition from my doc (who isn't available 5 days a week), go to a quest diagnostics lab and pay the co pay ($20 for my insurance), and then it's about 3 to 5 business days from the date of the blood draw.

It's cheap, but not fast, and it's also dependent on when I can get in contact with my doc to get that lab requisition.

I've asked around various urgent care facilities in my neighborhood, and they all have turnaround times ranging from 4 to 5 days to 7 to 10 days, if they provide the testing at all. And they also charge a $50 co-payment plus any charges not covered by insurance.

Neither fast, nor cheap, but at least it's an option that's available 7 days a week and doesn't require a prior appointment or requisition. The one's that do testing, you can just walk in.

TTS charges a total $250 ($155 for the panel, plus shipping and draw fee / swab charges on site at the facility). You have to sign up as Talent and make up a "stage name" for yourself apparently. It's unclear what the turn around time is because it depends on when your samples are received at one of their locations. I believe the closest one on this coast is Miami, so it seems like it would be 24-48 hours for turnaround time. So fast (potentially, I haven't tried them), but not cheap.

Anybody have any better options?
