The ad has an address for a hotel in Fenton. LOL.

When I called the number in the ad I got a generic message. I didn't leave a voicemail, but they texted back asking for my age and race, when I provided that they gave me an address off of Woodson rd. Nowhere near Fenton. I didn't bite.

I think you've been watching too many TV shows. Cops, whether federal or local, cannot make you admit guilt or snitch on anyone else unless you are weak and / or stupid. If you keep your mouth shut, it's like cryptonite to them. You are assuming that there is some big conspiracy at play here and that is very likely not the case.

No, I knew the lady from the Motorola Chinese spy case. She was stubborn, and went to jail for several years.

They had others who sang, and got off very easy. From the time she was arrested, to when she got out was 2007 -2017. Pretty much 10 years of your life fucked.

And when you are out, you can't get a nice job anymore.

She was certainly guilty as hell, and stupid to boot. There are many easier ways to steal stuff than walk out at midnight with it in a box.

But she was a nice girl (good at her job, too). Got divorced, lost her condo, living hand to mouth until jail. She surely paid a heavy price.

They use what I call soft coercion to get people to talk. Yes, they can't force people to talk and you always have the right to remain silent. But there you are, suddenly swooped up by Feds, put in a interview room, peppered with questions, while they throw around terms like sex trafficking and felony. You're a white collar professional, maybe never even pulled over for speeding let alone taken in for questioning, you have a job with a morality clause or a job that depends on a security clearance that can be easily revoked. By the time the agent enters the interview room he probably knows everything about you that can be gleaned from the net and databases. "You're a good guy. I'm sure you didn't know those girls were being trafficked. I'd hate for this thing to ruin your life too. Why don't you just help us out and we'll see what we can do to help you?" It is not about being weak or strong, smart or stupid. Everyone has weaknesses, everyone has leverage points, and no one wants to go to jail or have their lives upended. The trick is to be able take all the information you have on someone, figure out those points, and then play them to get them to cooperate. Given a choice between talking and maybe walking away from a bad situation clean or taking the 5th and risk having your life and career upended and perhaps ruined; what do you choose? Especially if you realize the Feds are already all over the operation and it is going down sooner or later?

If you have that much to lose, don't put yourself in that position. If you're asking me personally, I would tell the Feds to go fuck their moms. If they had a way to charge you with trafficking at that point, they wouldn't be asking you to rat.
