How come you changed the layout of the Méjico board from states to regions? DH

When are the pictures going to be updated?

Jackson truly deserves lots of credit for managing this site. Too bad donation to him is not tax deductible. This is exactly what George Bush Senior talked about "giving back to the community" and "thousand points of light".

Okay boys, truce. Miller2k, I think you may have missed Jimmy extending an olive branch in his own unique way. Both of you guys have contributed greatly to this site and this recent banter is beneath both of you. Peace.

Jimmy...I must admit that I'm very impressed by your unique ability to miss the point of every thing I say. Your dense thinking and dim-witted thinking process lead me to question the accuracy of your posts. But that's beside the point.

when I said, "Where have you been?" I meant with regards to this board. I couldn't care less about your frequent flyer miles. I've been posting for more than a year and you seemed oblivious to everything I've posted. I don't care about that. It would just seem that you should know something about someone you are putting down. But I guess in your own magical world, you are the only one who matters.

If you bother to check in the old forum you will see my many posts about escorts, SW's, and clubs. But maybe that's too much for you. If you've only been to TJ and Acapulco in Mexico, you're missing out. The real action is away from the tourist traps. The tourist places are for people who don't know any better.

Thanks for the offer, but no thanks. Seeing as how you mis-interpret everything, all of your girls could actually be men and you're just slow to realize that.

I'm anxious to see how you mis-interpreted this post.

Oh yeah, you're on 5 sites? Wow. You must be very pleased with yourself. Not many people can post on public bulletin boards. (by the way, that was sarcasm)

Amigo, I have to respectfully disagree with your assessment of the new forum. The ability to post anonymously is something I shall not miss. You are certainly correct when you estimated the "old forum had about 75% garbage posts, but at least it had 25% good ones." I am happy to take the 25% and to not have to sift through all the questionable stuff. Of course anyone who wants to post anonymously can still do so if they setup a throwaway email account and register another name. It appears that few are doing this and I am glad for it.

    Jimmydr

Lay off my amigo Miller2K. His posts are both entertaining and informative, not to mention accurate so far as my own knowledge of Mexico goes. If he is not posting frequently enough for you, perhaps it is because he is into quality more than quantity for now.

Again with respect, I have to disagree. As Jackson states more eloquently than I do, the geographic organization of the board is logical and serves the need. If you want to see the results of your suggestion, you should check out dub dub dub club h o m b r e dot com where the various new topics proliferate, at least to the extent that board is used by the apparently small number of people who contribute. Personally, I find that other board to be chaotic, confusing, inefficient and generally much more difficult to keep up with and to utilize. That's just my opinion, but you might find it to your liking.

    Jackson

The one feature of the old forum I do miss most is the ability to make your own email address available (for those who choose to do so) so that appropriate comments could be taken to pmail rather than on the board. Since you said you are watching that software feature for possible future use, my one vote is "yes".

Hey Jimmy....Wheere the hell have you been? If you knew what the hell you were talking about you would know that I LIVE in Mexico. Or do you only read your own posts? Are you paralyzed with fear that Jackson will pull the board and you will be left without an outlet for your ego trips? I bet you go back every so often and re-read your own posts, pumping your fist in the air, and celebrating the moment you were born. Jimmy boy, since when has this been a contest? All I want is info. If you decide to one day read another person's posts, then you will know that I've been providing info in the Michoacan, Mexico section for quite awhile. Sorry I don't have the income (or personality disorder) to try every prostitute on the continent. I do what I can. I'm working here (and often doing charity work), so the time and resources available to me are limited.

It's obvious that you didn't even read my previous post because you misinterpreted me quite a few times. First, I never said that the board wasn't informative. I said that I only post when I have something new and/or informative to add. Second, I'm not married and you would know this if you ever read other posts, because this was a theme that I covered in the old forum. (although, that was hilarious how you implied that I was P-whipped. Man, you must be about 80 years old because only men raised in the 1930's think that way) Third, posting a lot doesn't make what you have to say any more interesting or informative. Hurray for you if you posted 1,000,000 times and posted pictures and went to 20 clubs...what do you want, a cookie? Fourth, I didn't imply that everyone would now know exactly who you were. I merely said that having to register has discouraged many people from posting because now there is a whole formal process. Maybe they only have two or three things to say. Maybe they fear being put on mailing lists (although, this is not the case to the best of my knowledge). Who knows, but the facts are clear that much fewer people post now.

How the hell can someone be SO wrong, SO many times in such a short post? Congrats, Jimmy.

My suggestion to you is that you begin to read posts other than yours and don't be so defensive. I think that you are paranoid that Jackson will pull down the board and you will be without a place to be heard--left all alone again, the hero of his own mind.
This will not be a flame war because you just don't interest me. Information is what interests me and that's why I want more people to post: 80 posts from one ego maniac don't help me that much. I want the real people to post.

To Jackson: This is by no means a knock on you. You can't control whether or not people log-in and post. I applaud your efforts and your work. I'm just stating my opinion to you. That's what this section is for, right?

That's all....From: The Happiest Man Alive!!!

Hey Jimmy...I only post when I have something new and/or informative to say. Seeing my name in print 80 times doesn't make me wet my pants. I don't need the ego boost. Take a look at the Mexico section as well as the Opinion area--they are dead. Sure, I could hold a conversation with myself, but this is supposed to be an EXCHANGE of info.
I could "recon" the area a million times, but what good is the effort if I will never hear any responses or receive any other tips.

Marcon...95 posts in one day is good, but spread out over dozens and dozens of categories? What percentage of those posts are from the same area(s). I think that the whole registration system has made some of the more "shy" posters (the majority on the old board were anonymous) reluctant to post due to the fact that they, at least in some regard, will lose there anonymity. (sorry for any spelling errors, but I'm in a bit of a hurry).

Jackson did what was best for him. That's great and I could never knock him for making his life easier for a job that he doesn't get paid for. But I'm just merely stating a fact. Look at how many fewer posts there are now. The only people left are the old pros who continue to post the same info over and over again. I used to check the board twice a day, then once a day, then 3 times a week, and now maybe once every 8 days because there is never anything of interest to me. Sorry. If you love it, that's great. I'm just stating my opinion.

    Hi Miller2K

I cannot understand what you mean by few postings.

I just logged in, and my previous log-in was about 24 hours ago. In that 24 hours, there has been posted 95 new messages on the board.

Me - I am happy that the hobbyists have to log in to post, hopefully to see only relevant posts from now on.

    Cheers

...This is no knock against you, Jackson, but I sure miss the days when people used to post on this board. Everytime I log on, there's nothing new. Not to be rude, but it's kinda pointless to keep coming to the new forum when no info is ever posted. The old forum had about 75% garbage posts, but at least it had 25% good ones. I like expressing my opinion and sharing info, but is anyone even here?

...You do a great job Jackson, but a month or so into the New Forum, I'm longing for the good ol' days.

Great work, Jackson! I seem to have figured out most things by now, but one thing I wonder about -- is the "Icon legend" function working properly? I go to an area where there has been a new post in recent days, and the little box with a tick is still grey rather than yellow. Same goes for grey contra yellow envelopes. Or have I misunderstood? What is supposed to trigger the key to yellow?

I like this board, but I think you could use the default style of majority of discussion board found at Internet where the users can freely create new topics and an entire forum for each city. Some cites have hundreds of options and I think will be easier to find information and more enjoyable to read the forum if users could create topics about specific places in a city.

I appreciate your request. Unfortunately, this software program does not have the capacity to allow me to turn on the capability for members to start threads in one section, but turn it off in others. I had to make a choice, and I can tell you from past experience with a forum of this nature, if I let posters start their own threads, the nuts will go crazy adding threads on all kinds of off-topic BS. Like I said, if I could turn this function on in specific sections of the forum, I would, but otherwise I had to make a decision that leaned toward having some structure. Please remember, this forum is really intended to serve as a data base for performing research on a specific country and city before traveling to said location. Having an unstructured forum as you suggest would not serve that goal, although it would serve to let people rant and rave.

If you have a suggestion for a specific new topic, please let me know. I add new topics that are suggested to me by members all the time.

    Jackson
