In this hobby you can't be to paranoid imo. You already feel like it's a red flag, you listed 3! I 100% get wanting to "meat" a tasty treat, you have to ask your self what's your risk threshold? Is the deposit so much that if it was a scam it would cause you an issue? Or would it be nothing? I don't do deposits. I've purchased content from well reviewed providers without issue, then next time I asked to purchase they were like "of course, I have this great bundle for 75, sent money and nothing. Complete ghost. I've heard of to many guys getting ripped off. On the other hand, what's life without risk! I know I have missed out on some great providers who require a deposit. You can't drink every bottle of wine or eat every steak, sometimes you just got to decide what's more important. That being said, I may have missed out on some good talent, but I'm also never posting about how I sent a deposit to meet a lady and got stood up LOL.
