People on both sides of the fence tend to agree that the war on drugs is a failure. Not sure what a solution might be because drug supply is driven by demand. Why is the demand there? Why do people drink to excess? Alcohol is a drug too, as is nicotine. Do people really feel a need to self-medicate or have a desire to escape reality?

I must be a real oddball. I don't smoke anything but I'll have drink once in a while. Illinois has some of the most stringent gun laws in America similar to New York City and Washington Dc.

They accuse the conservatives of drinking the Kool aid trying to convince us that everything that they hear on the liberal news stations is the gospel. I am old enough to remember a time that the news was an hour long at 6:00 every night and the same thing was rerun at 10:00. We now have networks that broadcast news 24 hours a day. How do you think they get anybody to watch if they don't add there spin on it and embellish the stories. It all comes back to money. And if you want to figure out the answer follow the money.
