You can always tell them that you would be willing to meet them in a public place beforehand. To get around that at times, I will say that I will video conference with them on an app of my choosing. If you take a look, you'll agree with me right away. But lo and behold I was at work and I saw the girl in the ad come in!! I'm sure my jaw dropped cause I didn't think that she was real.
