MP has likely taken down its US ad section due to a law pending in the US that gives the DoJ authority to access any and all information on any website related to sexual activity. From porn to escorting, from ad sites to Twitter, if sex is discussed, hinted at, etc, the federal government will have access to all of it.

My guess is LC / EB etc. Can't be brought back online until the problem with the MegaPersonals US site is fixed.

A lot of these sites seem to be run on shoe-string budgets by guys who are not exactly Tier 1 IT professionals with 24/7 support staff. They probably don't even know the site is down, and won't figure it out until they come back to the office, after the weekend. I personally don't expect these sites to be back online before Monday or Tuesday.

If they are still down without at least a maintenance notification being posted on Wednesday -- then I'll start to worry that they may have bitten the dust for good.

Early this morning a few sites went down in succession while I was browsing. Megapersonals went down then within 5 minutes lc/eb went down afterwards too. Megapersonals says that the site is under maintenance so maybe it affected lc / eb since they are crawlers. If fish, look, call, and search go down this weekend; then there might be more to it.

Another interesting behavior I'm seeing with this is, if I go to MegaPersonals.eu (the site from which LC / EB pulls its ads) I get the same auto-redirect to StripChat when I try to look at US ads, but I don't get the redirect if I look at European or Canadian ads.

So it looks like the issue is actually with just a portion of the MegaPersonals domain.

Yeah I just tried. Tried typing address or clicking other links and redirects to a spammy porn matchmaker site. Well this sucks.
