I know it wasnt easy for KBs to survive and STILL survive but they are hanging in there whereas many iconic businesses were victims of the pandemic. BTW, AKBTS get 50% off sale on select Tshirts like "Covid <LVB", "I booster for my DKBG", and "I buy ChamPAIN" . Anyway, have not checked the forum in a very long time and was curious whatsup and how's everybody? Read a few pages of KB reports and wondering if JR, Hmobius, BeerAddick, Kapakahi, Shipshape, Jarish, etc still around? I'm not trying to promote this thread but the following is more of a report on KBs the last 2 years and not necesserily up to date on KBs as of this writing.

In 2020 when restrictions slightly loosened where KBs could operate as takeout restaurants, a few did such as 904, Starlite, Emerald City, Camelot, Splash etc. Then bars with dine-in was allowed with temp check, signin, and 6 ft distance which is when all the KBs opened for business. KBs were very diligent adhering to covid rules and bought plexiglass dividers, air purifiers, sanitizers etc, but not so much now, hehe. LVBs answered the call and in some bars, BEGGED the bartenders or mamas to let them buy nekos, LOL. I think many KB patrons had KB withdrawal needing to unload 20's, LOL. BTW, just before the lockdown, superbowl Sunday, Golden tree was a great place to watch the game because awesome FREE buffet, big TVs, nooone hustling for drinks so could concentrate on game. This year, Emerald city was pretty much same thing IF the food and game and service more important than catering to kbgs.

Being that I am pabo, visited every PC to town KBs at least once during covid but probably frequently more than infrequetly LOL. I must say tho that I avoided imo unsafe conditions and felt safer at KBs than many restaurants, dept stores, supermarkets, etc. If you sit down at the bar, look to your left and right. More than not, it will be an old fut like Oldee who got boosted long ago. Average age KB goer is senior citizen and has been for long time. Under 50? The kbgs call you guys young boys, LOL. A few KBs had minor violations early on but reopened 24 hours after closing a day. For a long time (years), played find Waldo, avoiding LVB spys, KBG lurkers but went on a few AKBT running into fellow forum guys like TT (need ruler) and others drank with them.

In PC, Green Apple and Misty Blue was and is still slow catering to regulars with few kbgs but good food. The action was and is at Sunflower and Acacia. The mamas at both bars not bad looking. On a recent Sunday, Sunflower was packed! PC bars have cheaper beer $3 domestic all day and respective hards being generally cheaper too. The kbgs tend to be less stuffy than even Kalihi kbgs and good service. As far as play, YMMV as with all kbgs and averge age 40's and 50's.

In Kalihi, the busiest bar by far during covid was and still is Green Tee. Other bars like Lilac, spotlite, and 904 may have more younger kbgs but GreenT got long time regulars going out of habit and more kbgs. 5-O is is busy on sundays with the golfing groups with all the kbgs being older. Elicpse same type kbgs 5-O and usually slow. Lucky Honu has more local customers and many transplants from other bars. Kay (fox) worked here and now at 9 O4. She likes to visit other bars with LVBs in tow as I seen her at greenT doing her ass wiggle shake, LOL. She used to do that at Splash and Evergreen long ago. Spotlite got some younger lookers and sometimes busy. Wave, Starlite, Halona, Kalihi Station, Vegas, Blue Star and Aqua always slow. Good hunting grounds for older kbgs. Waterfall has as special place in my heart as altho all older ladys, ALL play and good for laughs. Just sit on the bar and wait for them to attack, LOL. The kbgs are too old for my taste but on a AKBT last year, a friend payed 3 nekos for BJ from Jackie after playing hard to get, LOL. BTW, Blue star had the youngest bartender in her 20's, young nice looking filipina but don't know if she still there.

In town, Splash, Camelot and Business its always hit or miss but most days not that busy and prices higher. The younger girls will wait to get asked by LVBs to buy them nekos, not worth it imo. In general, there are alot less kgs in all bars from just a few years ago and hardly any new talent. Probably because of covid. Basically, the KB scene is mostly LVB Loveland for vet kbgs loving thier repspectice LVBs being so loyal, LOL. I love you LVBs for keeping the KBs alive. Its in all seriousness is one of hawaii's cultural treasures.

Happy Holidays bros, and remember to choose wisely! Also, thanks to you guys who are the current KB thread reporters, please keep up the good work. I think I better go back in the cave, LOL.

I'm thinking a few will eventually need to migrate to the AMPs which is fine by me. Others are trying to make it in Kalihi as townside goes dead. I suppose for the older ones who experienced those thousand dollar nights of a bygone era must be reeling. They got used to easy money but the times and their age have changed a lot. Interesting to watch.

As you said time has changed and the type of women working in the bars have changed as well, especially the younger ones. NO customer service, no personalities, and generally a total waste of time and money. Personally if need to clean the pipes just go AMP no attachments no hassles and no relationship problems. Well most times anyway.

Tread softly my friend Yujin (Yugin) has been in the business for quite some time and has been very successful. I agree that she is fun, a beautiful woman, and a great singer. Having said that, add in that she is smart. YMMV, but she is quite playful. Given your self admitted slave personality (I could be included in that group) go in with eyes wide open. Ready to drop $500 plus and don't care about the money? Have at it. Again, of course, YMMV but I doubt it. She's there for the money like all of the KBG's and is very skillful in getting 20's to jump out of your wallet. Of course, maybe you'll be the one to tame her haha!

    Kbr latest fun

Back going Kalihi and town as said in last post and by meaning long time not going Kbr I mean only 3 to 4 months gone. Met Yugin at Ashleys the other night and being my first one on one with her and hearing about her reputation I was a little anxious to meet her and also the fact that I am still in the process of overcoming my Puppy Dog Loverboy Slave personality when meeting a beautiful woman. However she was very nice and I was quickly at ease and had a wonderful time with small play at the bar. Also I heard she is long time Kbg and very cunning when trying to empty your wallet and only experienced customers need apply. This was true with her because I had the experience of being on the witness stand cross examined by a trial attorney. However I think I did good during this first meeting with her and she did not get my social security number, not that she didn't try. Jokes aside it was all great fun and she is very beautiful and I plan to see her again.

As I said Mits after our generation dies out and that is sooner than later may have 2 bars that going survive to me now is Splash, and Camelot outside Evergreen because of Caberet license.
Yeah, was liddat wen we was going, too, long time ago. After we make', den probably get a few KBs left; Splash, Camelot, Evergreen, Kalihi kine KB. The rail going broke the Kalihi KBs and businesses soon (or not) due to traffic congestion on Dillingham and feeder streets (Waiakamilo, King, Kalihi, etc.) that's going to make the area challenging to navigate.

Lots of empty counters and booths in the KBs nowadays, day and night shifts, even during sporting and special events; the predictors will be during the holidays (Christmas & NYear) as to the demise of the KBs, DKBGs, and their LVBs who got to foot the financial void. We'll see. Until then, no ask for one quarter and no give one quarter, either.
