    Just wondering

I was reading the Tijuana board and perusing comments on the virtues of great service providers versus really hot chicks. It got me to wondering. It might even be considered a stupid question, considering the lack of talent in this city unless you come up with really big bucks- like $500 or $1000. But that's ok-I have a low opinion of my own intelligence. What is the preference of Chicago guys if you could choose? Would you rather have the really hot chick so you could brag about her being with you? Or would you rather have the average looker that gives you great service? I'm not talking about the scab-covered fugglies you mostly see on the streets anymore, though you can throw them in if you want. I guess I'll post first since I brought it up. I can see all the hot girls on the Internet that I want. I don't need a great looking rubber doll in my car and I'd rather have great service than the looker I can brag about.

    Lack of knowledge

I'm an old guy. I have a smart phone. I get the general idea behind burner phones. If you're going to be calling escorts, or letting street girls contact you, you want a phone that is only for you, not your significant other and a phone without identifying info, like your home address. Update me if I have left out something. How does this work? I have nbeen reading posts for the past week. Some of my questions have been answered. So there are phones you can purchase with no I'd? Are you guys paying monthly fees or being charged by the minute? I guess I need Burner Phones for Dummies 101.

    Reason For Escorts

This is why I need escorts!

I'm at a bar and this average looking, dolled up chick comes over and introduces herself. Most guys would fall head over heels for her, but I could see through her make up. I'll grant her this: Her tits were still big and firm even through her padded bra (36 C). Typical 20 something yr old gibberish and she and she finally drops the bomb! "Would you like to take me home with you tonight"? I hem and haw for a little bit and she gives me the "WTF" look! She gets up from the stool and says," My mother was right about you. You are an a $$hole"! I call her back over and she tells me she's the real estate lady I banged a few months back. She was a decent lay but kinda North Shore snobby. I never returned her calls because I was still punching my old lady's ticket. She hissed at me," I bought you all these drinks. The least you can do is thank me"! She pressed her lips on mine and gagged me with her tongue. "I'm tired of small-average cocks. I need a big one and I need it now"! My heart felt for her and we headed out to her condo.

Her clothes hit the floor before we closed the door! We fucked on through the night and a shot at dawn. We crash till 11 and she tells me to "gtfo. My mother will be here and I don't want her to see that I conquered one of her conquests"! I laughed and slithered out the door. Before the door slammed she managed to grope me and spit down my throat. " I'll call you tonight" she barked and slammed the door in my face.

Good thing she rushed me out because as I was pulling away her mother pulled up. "WTF are you doing here"? Momma commanded. "I just fucked your daughter", I snickered. "Was she good"? I said," Not as good as you"! She walked away in disgust.

That night daughter calls me. " I want to see you tonight". Mother calls moments later. Same thing. They blew up my phone so much my old lady answered and told the to fuck off! My old lady rejected my passes and the mother / daughter told me off after I returned their calls.

Now you know why escorts are the preferred course of action!

    Carrier?

Would you mind sharing the name of the carrier?

Last Tracfone I bought needed activation from another phone, which is not the best privacy.

    Yes, go generic

George Stark: I agree with LoveSmallPerky's assessment below. It's probably best to go with TracFone or one of the other prepaid-only carriers nowadays. The plan I used was for one of the major carriers back in 2019, maybe T-Mobile? But that seems to be no longer available when I hunted for it on their website just now; anyway I've let that account lapse awhile ago due to COVID. Good luck!

That guy is really out there but the one thing I am sure of is no matter what happens he won't be giving any info to the PoPo.

Also, since it's Android, does it not force setup / use of a Google account?

    Regarding Google Voice:

I've been using Google voice for several years, but I'm seeing a much lower response rate from new providers I'm trying to reach, lately, as mentioned by a previous poster. Additionally, calls from one provider mysteriously were sent to voicemail, with no notification of the incoming call, in spite of that caller *not* being blocked. On another ocassion, the whole Google voice account was suspended after a fair amount of negotiations. I got it reinstated, but I'm getting suspicious about the whole thing. And recently it fucked up by refusing to receive verification pics from 2 providers. I could send pics to it from other numbers, not sure what that was about.

Also, like everything else Google, they retain the information forever. I'm sure they scan it, just as they do Gmail. Sometimes it's nice to be able to download all your Google voice activity since the beginning of time, but the fact that they have it isn't so great. I set up a separate Google account for that Google voice number, but I'm sure the separation isn't great, since it exists on the same phone as my normal account.

Cheap Android or used iPhone for burner

Economically speaking, a cheap Android will work. You can get one as low as $35 from one of the major carriers. Another option is to use an old iPhone: I had an iPhone 5 that worked for this purpose, and what was nice was it used the same charger as my regular line.

    Mongerphone ideas. Quick note

I agree with Pau Ford and FafaFooey below: the VoIP solutions are good options if you don't want to deal with another physical phone, and FafaFooey is right in that caution is needed when it comes to family app sharing.

If do you go the physical route, when the phone's not actively being used you can power it off and stick it in the junk drawer we all probably have that's full of old, outdated devices--I have probably 10 or more ancient smartphones and flip phones in my nightstand, so the mongerphone would just blend in with the rest of them. It's a bit of security through obscurity but might work well enough for your situation.

Also you'd want to use a locking PIN that's different from your regular phone line, and turn off all on-screen notifications so that any inbound text messages won't show up on the lock screen. That last bit of advice is also true if you go with the VoIP solution: ensure that any notifications about Google Voice or the like is kept from appearing on your lock screen.

Personally I don't like having an additional physical device to worry about so another option is just using a free VOIP text / calling app like Google Voice, textnow, etc. It's just an app on your existing phone. You get a separate number that you can call and text with. Your real # is completely hidden, texts / calls all go through the app (and the fake #) itself and kept completely separate from the rest of your phone. Easily managed, free, no secondary device to worry about, etc. Been using Google Voice for prob 8 years now and like it better than the other VOIP apps I've tried.
I agree that the text apps have become a better option than a physical burner these days. Only warning since it sounds like discretion is key for the OP is to make sure your App Store or Play Store account isn't set up with any kind of family sharing. If it is, it could quickly be visible to whoever you share with that you're downloading random text apps.
