Found a body shop, Kali Kustoms, at the North end of Ave Revolucion. Alejando Deras and his wife own it, said better to paint the whole car than trying to match panels. Negotiated a good deal with him, made an appointment for a week day, drove the car down, left it with Alejandro for 2 days while I spent the night partying with girls in the clubs. He was working late into the night to get the car ready for paint the next day.

He spent all 2 days fixing dents, sanding, priming, painting the car in many layers. Car looked shiny like new, but he said to wait 3 weeks for the clear coat to dry and bring back for polishing to make it shinier, included free with the paint job. Drove down on Sunday, got there by noon, left the car for him while I went out to lunch and partied with the girls. He spent about 8 hours polishing and waxing the car with power tools, polishing wheels, blacking tires, repainting windshield wipers. This guys is an excellent body man and a perfectionist He kept working on the car to make it look perfect, and the car looked perfect like new after 8 hours of hard work. A good whole car paint job at a reputable shop in OC would cost a lot of money. I got a good deal with Alejandro for full 3-day work for a fraction of quotes in OC, and his workmanship is way better than those shops.

Negotiate directly with Alejandro, not the other workers like Frank who quotes higher prices and I am not sure of his workmanship. Make appointments with him, better on week days for big jobs. He also has guys who can repair leather seats cheap. Tell Alejandro you are a friend of El Capitan Solo. He will give you good deals with good work.

Went down Sunday July 3 day time to have the car finished.

I continued to see my original 'friend' (among others) at HK over the course of the fall. I had her number but I never really used it. I think you got excellent deals with $140 for an hour and $200 all shift in HK. If you stay with a girl LT, HK insists you buy a $100 fake beer bucket for the girl every hour. The tiny ficha beers would stack up in the room unopened.
