Acapulco is polluted, ocean water cold and murky. Acapulco is also fucked with cartel violence. Lots of venues closed down, not so much fun.
Cancun has beautiful and clean beaches; ocean water warm and clear with lots of beautiful marine life. There are still lots of pristine places of nature to visit without lots of drunk tourists.
