How do you expect Honolulu's finest to get bye on the meager budget that the Honolulu City Council provides? They need some leeway and innovative fundraising techniques to get the nice to have items they so desperately need like night vision goggles, surveillance equipment so they can monitor those pesky human trafficking rings (aka AMPs), and homeopathic spa treatments at the Wahiawa sub-station. It's a stressful job. They need downtime.

Fine take away asset forfeiture opportunities and they'll be forced to make up the difference in traffic fines and issuing moving violations. You know, during the day when drivers are trying to get places to earn money so we can afford to live here.

I think you are being insensitive to our men in blue who work diligently to keep society safe from those evil relaxation centers who use trafficked women at near slave level wages.

Don't kid yourself. Hawaii is far from being any thing close to a progressive state when it comes to sex worker rights or respecting civil liberties enough to just let two consenting adults do what they want to do.

Consider how much people from Hawaii spend in Vegas on gambling, but something as widely accepted as a lottery can't even pass here. I think the only other state that doesn't have a lottery is Utah.
