I am sure I will be drawn back to this place. First went there in the early 80's. Was always such an institution. Very reliable. Went looking through the posts about this place, and saw a mention of "Sue." She worked there for many years, and I always was happy with her work. It was sad to see them get reckless and get in trouble.

Seems like a new spa is open in the old Marlowes location. Went by today and noticed the sandwich sign out front, looked up and saw the familiar neon "open" sign in the window.

I have no other information other than the phone number 203-315-1107.

I'm shocked that this site wasn't mentioned as one of the "resources" that LE used to get the warrant. Maybe Branford PD doesn't know about this site.

I loved the doctor they interviewed at 5pm on WFSB, he said "They never bothered anyone, I hardly knew they were there. There has to be something better for the police to be doing than to waste their time on something like this."

Hahahaha! Maybe he was one of their regulars.

Anyone know who the blonde is that appeared in court today? She's really good looking from what I saw on tv.

I'm happy to read that WFSB was willing to show video of the doctor. Usually the TV stations in CT are morally righteous about spa busts, even busts of places that are HJ-only.

Even the Hartford Advocate had some morally righteous comments recently, which is both a hoot and hypocritical when one considers the amount of money that the Advocate makes from the massage/escort ads in their back pages.

The 2 men that were in Marlows the night of the raid were arrested last week. NH Register had the story and pictures of both men.

The police investigation is still going on.

I started going there in 1978; it wasn't nearly as good (in lots of ways) as Tropical Retreat, but sometimes it was just what the doctor ordered. And it was *always* better than Zodiac, in every possible way!

More like 30. I remember in the late '70s driving back from Cape Cod to Manhattan (where I lived at the time) trying to find the place. It was not obvious where they were. Now, thanks to Channel 3, EVERYONE knows where they are (were) !!!!

Heck I was heading there last night but when i saw the Branford Police Mobile Command in the parking lot, I got out of there. A close one.....cause they nailed 2 guys that were there.

What a shame... Marlowe's was the first MP I ever went to, I'd guess about 25 years ago. Used to be such a reg that Marlowe recognized my voice. Another news report showed the 6 busted, as well as mentioning CL as a cause:

RIP Marlowes, reminds me of the old "Andre's"... same thing all the publicity made them too big a target for LE to ignore.

I don't even know where to look anymore, are CL girls remotely reliable? Any suggestions?

You can't flaunt this type of activity. Posting on two internet sites was sheer foolishness.

For the most part though, you do have to feel sorry for the girls that were arrested. I'm sure they were there because they needed the money, not because they thought it was a great occupation.

To the best of my knowledge, prostitution or patronizing is just a misdeamanor.

Promoting is a felony, so someone is in big trouble.

Again, caution is prudent.
