Finally tried LA Grand on a Sat night.

Outside is a sort of non-descript building with some lit up stairs. Walked inside and was told $25 cover and that it's "not a bar. ".

Paid cover, was let into second room. Second room consists of pool tables, bar set up (non-alcoholic drinks and coffee).

And girls lined up on a couch. The lineup part is wild there were literally 10-15 girls in short black dresses sitting on a couch in a line waiting to be picked. Directly across from them is the bar and a line of stools occupied by a lot of older dudes. Both parties are staring at each other, waiting for one to make a move like a middle.

School dance. I didn't see any women approach any guys. I locked eyes with one girl and did the head nod, she got up and led me to the dancefloor room.

At that point the "clock" is officially on I think it's a dollar or two per minute or something like that. The dance floor was like medium lit, could have been darker for sure. Probably about 5 other "couples" slow growing to bachata and slow Spanish music. My girl was actually Thai but had lived in states for a while so we communicated in English. Allowed OTC FIV, some light kissing, lots of ass grabbing. No sign of a HJ and not really sure how it would be possible.

Also, I want to state that the inside is like an open lounge area. So you can see all the customers all around you. Each table is only separated by a sheer drapery. So there is not much privacy. There is only one big VIP room in the far inside that is separated from the lounge area. Also, you can't get intimate with any of the girls there because everyone is looking. It's kinda like the Singles Inferno TV show where everyone just sits and talks. No kissing, No hugging, No holding hands. If you try to make a move on the girls, the waiter will throw you right out after you pay the bill of course LOL.

Since no one wrote a review about TeeUp I guess I'll contribute and write about it.

TeeUp is a private Japanese hostess club in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel. The owner is Chinese and she's from China but she grew up in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese. You have to be a member or referred by a member to get in. Once you're in, you can make reservations. I was brought by a friend who was a member so that's how I got in. Afterward, making reservations was easy.

From 2000 - 2010, they had very hot Japanese girls working there. Some were drop-dead gorgeous DDG. Some girls were Japanese Idols, not JAV porn actresses. After 2014, the quality of girls has gone down significantly. With the growth of social media platforms, a lot of girls make more money on social media rather than a hostess girl. Also, a mamasan who used to work there started her doumi company in Ktown and took a lot of the girls from TeeUp with her.

How TeeUp charges is very complex. The girls go on rotation there. You cannot pick your own girl unless you're a VIP. I think it's every 20-30 minutes they rotate a different girl to sit next to you. If you want her to stay longer, then you have to pay extra to keep her with you. You can always buy her out for the night. That means she would be sitting with you only for the rest of the night. Thus, most VIP customers already bought out most of the pretty girls there so if you're a new member you won't be getting any hot girls until you become a VIP yourself. Thus, you're paying for the alcohol / food / drinks and the sitting time of the girls and any extra extension fees. Also, if you get the girl's number and ask them out for dinner, they will be more than happy to. Why? What's the catch? If you take them out for dinner the next day, TeeUp charges you for a dinner date fee. And, the girls will only go on a dinner date with you if you go to TeeUp afterward. That's how they get paid for the date fee. I haven't been there for over 10 years so the exact rate they charge now for the girls I don't know. I was talking to my friend who used to be the super VIP there and he says the prices have gone way up more since then. Back then, a night out at TeeUp, I would be spending an average of $1500-2 k per night out at TeeUp. Just to give you a kind of idea.

Ethically questionable.

Came here on a Thursday night. There was free parking on the street next to the meters (Meters were free). The entrance is a glass door with some neon lights that shine through and you can see some stairs. It's not conspicuous from the street but it's obvious you're in the right place as you're walking by.

As you walk in, you arrive to the front desk. You pay the entrance fee and you walk into the bar area. When I walked into the bar area, I see like 14 old men (in their 50's and 60's just lined up around the bar (even though none of them had drinks) And 3 girls sitting on a bench across from the bar. These old men seem to be min-maxing their money. Just loitering in sadness until they see a girl that worth their precious money. There were guys that were just there for an hour without getting anyone.

I got 1 girl. She was there and she wasn't the best looking but I thought might as well. She spoke very little English but we made do. We danced for a bit and I took her back. Paid her $5 tip.

Then after that, I got another girl. She was much more attractive. The dance was a lot more grindy. I didn't really do things other people did like FIV. I just kind of groped her butt and that's it. After the dance, I took her to the tables. From there, I mostly spoke to her through Google translate. I asked her for consent if I can touch her boobs. She hesitantly said yes but I said she can definitely not consent. And she was still like yes, but meekly so I didn't really go further. We spoke more through google translate while she caressed me. Stuff like why she's working there, how she likes it, hobbies, food she likes, etc. Judging by her age, her inability to speak English, the time she's was in the US, and the time she's worked there, and her immigration status, she's likely a victim of human trafficking. Totally killed me after that realization.

Prices:

Entrance: $25.

Taking a girl in: $1 a minute with $20 minute minimum.

Tip: Most girls want around $1 a minute for tips. They make most of their money on tips.

Drinks: $10 per drink.

All in all, this place is not as cheap as it seems if you factor in tips. The girls are beautiful but knowing their situation kind of kills it for me. Probably won't come here again.

Prices have gone up at Tee Up and quality of girls have gone down. To make reservations, you have to be referred by a member or know the owner. More than 10 years ago, one of the mama san that works there left Tee Up and took a lot of the girls with her to work at the ktown karaokes. She started her own doumi company or so called atomoshpere model company. Afterwards, you can book all the the Japanese girls at the ktown karaokes. You just have to tell the waiter and they will call for it. My friends were VIPs and regulars at TeeUp over 10 years ago but we haven't gone much since then. The owner used to have VIP parties at her mansion with all the hostess girls at her club with the girls wearing sexy lingerie or barely anything. Those were the days. Long gone and missed.
