I've only been to Matsushima Shinchi once but when I was chatting with my girl, she said lots of foreigners come there. It's definitely more chill than Tobita Shinchi. On my last trip to Tokyo late 2022, I stayed in the Shinjuku area. It was walking distance to the red light area, Kabukicho.
