Just as in JAsian's story, I too had some bad moments when my vehicle stalled with a SW in the front seat. This was just off 8 Mile in the late 1990's. Picked up a WSW in a sweatsuit early one cool winterish morning on my way to work. I had maybe $9 in my wallet, so I don't know what I was thinking I was going to get for that. I was firm, or stubborn, and refused, while I searched for the keys, and she railed at me from the passenger seat.

Found the keys, tried to start the car, and nothing but clicks. It had refused to start earlier, but I had ignored the warning sign. She was telling me, fine, we can just wait for the police to arrive. I was thinking, how would I explain this to the wife? And the police? And my family?

Very fortunately for me, this woman decided her time was better spent looking for another mark instead of wasting time watching me fumble with the key in the ignition, and she slammed out of the car and left me alone.

Even more fortunately for me, the car decided to start after about twenty attempts, and I left the scene too. I got to work in time with no further incident. Later that day or the next, the electrical issue manifested again, but this time I was in a location where I could phone for a tow and have the vehicle serviced.

That taught me never to venture after SW's without ensuring my vehicle was in top running condition.
