I stopped in Friday and had a cold one. Normal group of characters were in attendance. For sale signs are up, but no takers as yet.

Can anybody fill me in if this is still open. Last two times I was there it was closed. I've asked this before and nobody has confirmed it. It's a 60 mile drive and I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time. Last I heard the property was going to be sold after the death.

I don't know the exact address but it is in East Chicago,Ind. on the corner of Euclid and Broadway. Stopped in there myself in Sept 2004 on vacation and it is pretty much like everyone desribes it. I did park my rental car in the back parking lot and had no problems at that time,but you also can look out the back door and see your vehicle anytime you want to. Hope This Helps.

P&M's is still open although the business is up for sale. I was in there this afternoon and talked with Dino myself. He says that nothing much has changed except Mabel is not there anymore. The bar closes early in the evening depending on when business drops off, but I think it's a pretty safe bet that everyone is home in time for the 10:00 p.m. news. I don't think that they're ever open until 11:00.

They often close very early in the evenings (8ish). Hope they're not permanently closed . . .

The riff-raff will move to somewhere near, guaranteed. It may not be as overt as PMs and not as LE friendly but it will move over to the nearest riff-raff bar.

Bar's ok - went there back in Jan - enjoy talking to the friendly bartender - black lady that drank a lot (can't remeber her name now). Never picked up anyone there, but did see an ok looking hsw that was a little too pushy to do business with me. Very hard for me to go out and do anything now with the SO around.

Sniper is still around. I chatted with the owner for a bit, they're still flogging the place, and he doesn't appear to be in a hurry. Told me the place used to be a Pontiac dealership back in the day. The sniper theory at the bar is it's a disgruntled gambler from the casino trying to scare away business because he or she lost a "ton of dough."

There were two girls there, neither one I'd do anything with.
