Hello I just moved back to the area. When I was here before I did not mind sharing sources so if there is a group chat I would like to know how to join if there is a concern about encryption signal is an end to end encryption system. This is on both iOS and Android.

DV, Similar means of communication have been used with several in here. What you will discover, as BG eluded to is the lack of sharing. Everyone will want to join to hear "who's available" and say "can I get her number" but few will actually contribute to the hunting and sharing. I think you'd find it to be a source for those who only expect to receive info vice contribute anything new. Hunting is labor intensive and I'd happily assist but would also be reluctant to share unless it's reciprocated. Make sense?

Also agree it would take away from the purpose of this forum.

Totally agree with the Saltman. Not only labor intensive but money and time intensive too. Kind of reminded me of the 757 Yahoo Group that prospered for a little while but just as Salty mentioned it died a rather quick death due to lack of reciprocation. VAJimbo brings up a very valid point as well.

There are some issues that would concern me with this application, one of them is no end to end encryption, this could lead to members being discovered. Just something to think about. Don't mean be negative.

I have Group Me and have used it for similar things. I would be willing to participate but some things to consider:

- who gets to join? Senior members only? How do we vet those who can and cannot be trusted?

- who will be the gate keeper? Who will be the one that shares the group name via pm and allows others to join? We don't want people allowing their buddies to join who aren't members here and haven't been approved.

Just my thoughts.

As of right now the Groupme is up and running.

Who gets to join? For the time being I would like to keep it to Senior members of the board. I have been on this board a little while and can tell the guys who are contributors and share information e. G. Reviews, SB info, etc.

Gate Keeper? I value the opinions of the Senior members of this board, I would also like to consider guys that have numerous reviews on oThER boards as well, for instance when I joined this site I was already a VIP member of the oThER board with 50 plus reviews and I honestly had never heard of this board before my ATF put me on to it. With that being said if a guy is a Senior Member hear I would like to have those guys' input. I am sure we can all come together and implement some sort of vetting for future members.

I agree with most moves being made on a wim that having GroupMe would make things faster. I would still be interested even though I'm not a senior member my resume I feel is pretty solid. I've been out the game awhile swimming in POF but that too is a task. Got a few UTRs and freebies from there.

The last thing I want to do is take away from this site and the information on the boards. But when a request for info is posted unless someone responds, it usually falls by the wayside in addition to it taking forever. I normally hobby on a whim, or when I want a quick fix. I like the flexibility and I think it would help pass and receive information better. Anyone that doesn't actually contribute can be removed.

If anyone is interested, first download the Groupme App (iPhone or Android) and link it to either your hobby phone or hobby email. Once you have done that then hit me up with your info or I can give you the Group name and add you to the Group. We can either section off the groups or have one big VA Group and share SBs and whoever from different cities.
