Search Jamie Valentine BBFS on switter. Anyone know if she is real? Usually when advertising certain actions upfront, they are not. But OMG if she is real. Wow LOL.

They're just the ones that have gotten caught.

I got to know the girls, the bouncers, and some of the "secret" things that most guys never see like the hidden panic buttons in the rooms. It may be a different world now than it was in the 80's but I'm willing to bet the rooms still have panic buttons, as well as all the other things I saw and know about. They might look different, and function different but I'll bet they are still there. And I'll bet the escorts who do outcalls still have the same kinds of back up and support that they did back then too. In fact, the last time I had an outcall to my hotel room (two years ago), I saw some of the same "tricks". I don't know if the girl knew that I knew but I saw them anyway. Since I had no plans to rob her I didn't care. And yet, even with all these backup systems, and checking references for "safety reasons" and all the other things these girls do to stay safe, there are still reports of them getting robbed, raped, beaten, arrested, etc.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Even besides all of that, people have to stop being so scared about a world without Eros and Switter. We love to bring up these review sites and forums like this as if they do anything. As I'm talking as of now, months ago I think Eros stopped allowing providers to post their website links in their Eros ads. I'm not 100 percent sure but I think they did the same for their social media pages also.
So now it's more likely to get providers to see you without a reference. The whole reference thing is silly though because it's 2019 and anybody can change numbers and identities at will. I always cringed how both providers and clients in this city act like it's so dangerous when it's the safest city to hobby. And it will continue to be the safest even if the whole internet shuts down.

I don't think I'll live long enough to find out what happens with the cure. But, my suspicion is it would be another decade or two beyond that, with no new diseases or mutations, before people feel relaxed enough and certain enough to "forget" what happened with HIV / AIDS and return to the way things were in the 1960's. Early 1980's where condoms would rarely be used or even mentioned. I certainly won't be around to see that.

Posts: 635Backpage, FOSTA / SESTA and prostitution
The July / August issue of Wired has a great article in it that details how and why Backpage got busted, what the current legal situation is with their case, and other information. According to the article, it was largely because of Backpage that FOSTA / SESTA got passed. The article is a fascinating read for anyone who is interested. I got my copy through my local library's digital service. Your local library might have a copy too so you don't need to go out and buy it.

Seriously, what we have now may suck due to the draconian laws but back then. Well, it truly sucked. There was no Internet so getting information about who does what, whether they are rip-offs or whatever was near impossible. Sure, there was word of mouth, and a few magazines but for the most part those of us around back then took a LOT of chances. And mid-1980's was the height of the AIDS / HIV scare so you had that thrown in the mix, too. Back then there was so much unknown about the disease, and a lot of misinformation was being spread around. And many of the escorts I met back then had never even heard of AIDS.
I remember traveling (mostly the USA) and calling escort agencies I found in the yellow pages in the phone book and not knowing what I would get. Would I get someone who was a "real" escort? Would I get a cop? Would I get some drug addict? A woman who looked like Rodney Dangerfield? When I opened the door to my hotel room, I never knew what I was getting or what they would provide, or even how much it would cost. When you're 3,000 miles from home and worrying about someone turning up with a gun. Well, it wasn't good for the nerves.
And, I had some real scares.
There was the time when I nearly got killed by two big dudes who tried to bust down my hotel room door.
And there was the time when the porn star I had flown in to meet me went off her meds and went to the police station in the middle of our "date" because she got paranoid and thought someone was following her. Can you imagine explaining to the nice police officer who calls your hotel room that the woman who used you as a reference is someone whose real name you don't know? Or explaining why you spent a couple of grand to fly her in to meet you?
No, I'm grateful for the Internet and sites like this one, the old TER, and all the other sites where info is shared, as well as all the ad sites, escort's personal pages, and everything else we now have. It's a lot safer than it used to be. It's not as good as it was 5 years ago but, it's a whole lot safer than it was back in the 80's.
To return to that time. The thought makes my skin crawl. I'd probably just stop mongering.

There were the Palmer sisters in San Francisco, so are those the same ones?
I know they traveled for work, but when I inquired about BBFS, it seemed a no go.
Also, some reviews seemed to indicate they didn't really make out with each other.
