Catfishing scam? What does that mean?

I've been expecting her to ask for money, but she hasn't. She keeps asking for the city I'm from so she can buy an plane ticket to come visit. I asked if she is going to ask me to pay for it and she said no. Of course, I'm not giving her any information and certainly am not stupid enough to send her money.
