I was in Seattle and Vancouver for a short vacation this weekend. I spent two nights in Vancouver and had a reasonably good time mongering in that fair city. But then I drove to Seattle on Monday afternoon and rented a hotel room prior to flying out on Tuesday morning. I grew up in the SeaTac area many years ago, so I thought I'd drive around some of the more well-publicized mongering spots in that area.

I knew the rain would keep many of the providers off the street, but I was simply amazed at how slow it was between the hours of 9 pm and 1 am. I started first with the Midway-Redondo-Pacific Hwy 99 strip between the old Midway Drive in theater and 272nd street and saw 3 WSW near the Albertsons on 272nd. Because it was dark and raining heavily, I couldn't get a good look at any of them. I decided to wait to see if I could find anyone else at some of the other mongering spots, which was a mistake.

I then drove to downtown Tacoma to the Puyallup-24th street area by the Amtrak Station at about 9:30 pm and saw only one rain-drenched skank. After spending a short time prowling around there, I drove south down Pacific Avenue all the way to Highway 512, then doubled-back for a couple of passes up toward 72nd and saw absolutely no-one. I then drove on 512 west to South Tacoma Way and made a few passes from there up to 38th street and did not see one SW.

After striking out there, I decided to give the Midway-Redondo area another try, arriving there at 11 pm. I didn't see anyone at the 272nd-Albertsons store area, but I did see two early 20's BSW standing at a pay phone at the 7-11 on the corner of 260th and Pacific Highway. The one talking on the phone was kind of cute with a nice figure and some cute spike heeled boots, so I drove around the area for about 15 minutes waiting for her to get done. But she kept yakking on the phone, and I got tired to looping around waiting, so I started driving north up toward the Midway Drive In theatre.
