Recently I'm seeing that after some back and forth and finally agreeing to text that they block me as soon as I give my number. I'm sure it's scammers, but seems like a really time / labor intensive way to collect phone numbers. Are they just blocking me once they see it's an app number and they can't find out who I am? What gives?

For me, the latest trend is them giving me their number and not responding when I text. This has happened to me about 5 times in the last couple weeks. Most of their numbers I verified were real too and not app numbers.

However, I DO use an app number... don't f-ing tell me it's because of "green text bubbles"...maybe that's it.

I have had girls tell me they don't want to respond because of green texts before. Totally bizarre that anyone would care about it.

Come on guys! The thirst for novelty is what makes you a monger. Without the burning desire for novelty there is no mongering. As for bad outcomes, those can happen both with and without mongering. DC, you didn't mention if your gal was an indie or non provider. No matter. In this dating or mongering world there is little consistency or predictability. Such is life! Most likely a simple case of got a better offer. Happens to all of us.

Girls flake for 4 reasons:

- scammer, either real or fake, who realizes you actually want to meet and won't get the virtual dough from you so they disengage and go onto the next potential victim.

- a girl who is looking for the most money as supposed to the best time / sex.

- a girl who found a similar allowance / attraction but closer to her.

- flakers: girl who love to talk up guys, but when push comes to shove, they can't pull the trigger when it comes to actually meeting.

Ghosting is frustrating and I've had unicorns do it to me in the past after having great consistent times with them but its par for the course in this genre of the hobby. And also a benefit on our side when we come across a crazy or just get bored with someone and want new, different pussy.
