In all my years on SA (now S), I've never heard of anything other than an outright ban. "Suspension" implies they intend to let you back. I've never heard of anything meant to be temporary.

But sometimes you can plead your case and get the decision reversed. I had to do that once, a few years ago. Supposedly was reported for "soliciting" and I emailed customer service, told them I never did that and asked them to show me the messages that were suspect. They let me back on.
