I live way outside of Portland and get only the rare visit. I'm really interested in AMPs, especially any good ones in China Town, and it's hard to have a good success rate without some info. Checked out Sugar Shack recently around 1 PM on a weekday. About 5 dancers. Several inquired if I wanted dance or show. Talked to Winter who seemed promising and later Maylay. Maylay is Asian and I later learned had been there for a short time. Price of dance $35. I asked about her dances. Full nude and full contact on top and below? You won't find much action at Wildcats. It's a dive strip club similar to the typical places you'd find in SE or NE Portland. Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer those types of clubs instead of the glitzy "Gentlemans" clubs like Stars Cabaret. But the girls are pretty average and the private dances are still "Oregon Air" dances. But it is a fun, cheap place to get a good beer and see the goods up close at the stage.

I've been down on strip clubs for a while. It's such a crap shoot, so I'm glad this forum is picking up. Got lucky in Texas this last week, though. Went to a place called the Landing Strip outside of Austin. During the day and on Sundays there was no cover, no drink mins. Table dances were $10. 3 stages and a good variety of women, most of whom were downright hot. (We went to a couple in Houston, too, and there wasn't anything in the same league and entry and dance prices were way more.) I blew most of my wad -- pun intending -- on dollars up at the stages. Any dancer with tits at all would put your face between them, rubbing her nipple in your lips and then come up close and grab you, sometimes sucking on your ear, etc. On one of the stages, it was lifted so the ladies could back that thang up and grind the hell out of your cock. If I had the time, I'm pretty sure they "date" outside the club depending on who it is. The background here is this. Before the Roseburg bust, dildos were happening behind glass at Frolics. The girls had a Menu of services, starting at $20 Topless, up to $60 dildo and more for anal shows. There is also a $10 House Fee for around 18 minutes of booth time. The Menu deal started after a dancer "organized" the girls to charge set fees. Before that, girls were independent and setting their own prices.

In 2001 both Frolics and Mr Peeps stopped all female masturbation. Peeps last year closed down their dancers entirely. Frolics continued, by taking down the glass, putting up a new Menu, and letting guys jack with a nude babe.

Frolics - NE Sandy at 92nd: Price range 25 topless, to 70 for the "hot nude" special. This has been the Menu in recent years with NO glass. Tiny room the size of 2 phone booths. You sit on one side and jack. The girl "dances" and shows off, according to your Menu choice.

I checked with Bionca, (also goes by Jasmine?) blonde cutie with huge silicon boobs, veteran show girl... I believe she's the "Madam" of the house. She was absolutely beaming over the new rules, and confirmed the dildos are back. But when I inquired about price she copped an attitude. "You don't think we are gonna do better shows, for the same ($70) price, do you? Why should we work harder for the same money?"

Strange because I hardly had the chance to say anything, before she launches into this speech. Like maybe I wasn't the first? Did a recent trip to the old club triangle of NE Sandy Blvd to NE Cully Blvd. There have been 4 dive joints, going back many years: The Sandy Jug at 74th and Sandy; Kasbah Club at 73 & Sandy; The Backswing on Cully at 5 corners (60th & Prescott) and JD's Bar & Grill, formerly the famous Five Spot Tavern also at 5 corners.

Sorry to report - it appears ONLY the Sandy Jug remains. The new name is Pirates Cove. All of the others are either closed (Backswing, Kasbah) or no longer offer dancing at JD's. In fact the Kasbah location is being torn down and remodeled - Backswing looks ready for the wrecking ball.

The FIVE SPOT a decade ago, became known as the hottest strip club in Portland. What happened was - the girls began competing with each other for tips, with 2 stages going. I'll admit I'm a strip club addict. I probably average about 3 or 4 nights per week at various clubs around Portland, so I thought I'd add my comments to this conversation.

1. To the guy who asked about Soobies, they had a fire over a month ago and they're still closed. No ETA on when they might re-open. Too bad, I liked that place.

2. Jody's - Nice club, two bars, two stages, but they need more variety in their dancers. A few years ago they were much better, but now most of the girls just seem average to me. Don't bother with getting a private dance, nothing but air.

4. Cocktails & Dreams - Big place, usually busy on weekends, though since the shooting in July business has really fallen and they now frisk you and use a metal detector to get in the door. Kinda sucks. There are a couple really hot dancers there, and some of the private dances can be better than the typical Oregon air dances.

5. Club 205 - Some of the hottest dancers in Portland. 3 stages, sometimes with 2 girls per stage. Almost always busy, especially on weekends. Again, don't bother getting a private dance.

6. Tommy's 3 - Newest addition to the Tommy's lineup. Not very busy yet, but it has potential. The location is good (82nd & Foster) because there isn't much competition nearby. I've seen a couple hot girls there. Haven't tried a private dance yet.

7. Atlantis Showgirls - Used to be Tim's Hideaway on 82nd near Holgate. They remodelled the place to look better, but the girls aren't that great, and last night there weren't ANY girls dancing (on a Saturday night!). Not sure how they'll stay in business.

8. Sugar Shack/Chantilly Lace - Still just about the only place in town to get a real lapdance. I'm a regular with several of the long-term dancers and get private dances/shows often. I avoid most of the newer girls unless I get a really good vibe from their stage show.

There is a "third" spot, it is on the east side of the building, where King's Table was. Some of the girls float over there to stage dances. It gets very little traffic. I see no reason to go over there, I have seen two girls max in there at the same time.

I made the mistake of making the ENTIRE round last Sunday. I went to Pop-A-Top (Ozone)....Nothing there but the same old tired girls in lounge chairs outside. I then went to Chantilly Lace, closed until later, Video Visions, nobody there, it was only open for girls from SugarShack to bring guys over for shows. Made a weekday early afternoon visit to Sugar Shack, about 5 or so dancers. Talked to several about dance prices, but none would offer full nude, full touch for $35. I wanted to asked another girl but she seemed to disappear after dancing onstage. I know the dancers wonder between there and Chantilly but is there a third place they go? They are not going to do a dance or show but just seem to leave but not the front entrance. Went over to Chantilly partly to see if girl I wanted to talk with was there, she was not.
Again around 5 or more dancers there. Watched a cute Hawaiian girl dancing and I was only one at the tip rail. Asked her the above questions and got a yes.
