This crack down is not something which merely concerns Wheeling or Steubenville but can be found from Providence, Rhode island to Los Angeles, California. IE a nation wide policy.

To me it is obvious.. Someone in a very high place, perhaps even the highest place has decided to wage all out war on the world’s oldest profession. If you want to find out who is responsible for this , look no further than the top. This is where this kind of policy always trickles down from. The sooner we get these rascals out of office the better.

I really doubt national politics rarely has anything to do with local law enforcement.

It boils down to local officials wanting to get re-elected pointing out how they've reduced street crime, or someone on the outside wanting to get elected accusing the incumbent of being soft on crime.

Now for the cops, it's much safer to go after mongers who have cars that can be confiscated, are able to pay their fines, and generally don't want the embarrassment.

On the other hand, if they go after drug dealers who are likely to be armed and have little to lose, that can be a dangerous situation. That's why they pick the easy targets, sw's and their customers.

We used to have a great AMP in Ann Arbor, MI, but the feds(IRS and INS) shut down all the AMP's in AA in @ 1998.

I have read the board for the past couple years and want to thank you for all the great advice and reports on the Steubenville area. This is my first post and sadly it is bad news.
