Drove through Aurora a couple times today while I was in the area. Around lunch, saw 1 BSW and 1 WSW (May have been a Latina mix) farther up near the car dealerships and asian supermarket, but other than that nothing. The hotels appear to be opened back up, but I didn't see any SW's near them. Went back around 3 pm for a cruise through and saw nothing. Went to Lowes for some shopping and left the area around 430 pm, did a loop down and back up and didn't see any SW's actively working, but saw one with what appeared to be her pimp near the bus stop on the south end near the taco bell. The two I initially saw was a solid 8 and a solid 9 maybe 10. Might cruise back through tonight to see if there's any activity at the hotels, I imagine that area is being closely monitored right now though.

I don't think they are active during the day. The last couple times I cruised Aurora (around 9-11 pm) I saw them mostly between 90-109th st. Lowe's parking lot and 127th was very dead. The hostels in between? I think they do not work there since last summers crackdown.

BTW I think the rates have inflated a lot LOL, and I have been declining them most of the times.

Met WSW Tiffany south of 95th, she's a tall blonde about 5'8' or so with a decent slender body, think she said she was 27. I'd met her once before I think last spring and haven't seen her out since though I've looked for her. I only picked her up because we recognized each other when I happened upon her, otherwise I probably wouldn't have because I just haven't been interested in any of the BS out there. A lot of the local girls lately seem to be homeless, dirty, missing teeth, generally in a bad state due to fentanyl so I just avoid it all, but Tiffany is housed, clean, all of her teeth and seems to be a rather infrequent walker. We'll see for how long that lasts. Full service, all open, no fuss and not crazy with the rate. Infrequent cruiser that I am these days, I'd pick her up again if I came across her.

Other than that, still seems to be quite a few girls out there from 137th down to the 90's most evenings. I'm not sure how business is for most of them, my impression is that the word is out about their service so guys do a lot of looking but no picking-up. One of my regulars, a gal I'm sure many of you guys here know as she seemed to have quite a few regulars and who is also on TNA, raised her rates on me and then started calling and texting me every time she's out (which is several times a week) begging me to see her because it's slow for her. I'd been seeing her for over two years on a fairly regular basis but then she told me that she thought she was worth more money but now apparently can't get work. Funny how that is. It's always the same message, "i'm low on my take tonight, can you please help me out?". That's essentially one step above panhandling in my view. I'm guessing that "someone" behind the scenes told her that she had to raise her rates. I finally told her recently to just stop contacting me because I won't see her again. Providers have a good thing going and then fuck it up for themselves or they let someone else fuck it up for them. They all think we're dumb.

With all the talk of human trafficking I am surprised the cops have not cracked down the pimps.

The city says they want to pursue "traffickers", but the reality is that it's hard to bring a case against an alleged pimp. First, they need witnesses and honestly SWs aren't going to to cooperate with LE in a case against her pimp just willy-nilly. I'm not sure that most think of themselves as being a victim and most are loyal and like being with their pimps. Most of the time when a girl comes forward it's because the pimp did something to her and she's ready to get away from him. That doesn't happen often. As an example, in Portland fairly recently the city approached several SWs and asked them if they wanted help, less than a handful accepted from what I recall. Most rejected the offer and that should be very telling. The vast majority of the time most SWs aren't unhappy with their man and that's just the reality. So-called "good" pimping involves creating a sort of family situation, most SWs just aren't going to leave that.

Further, as Snooby noted below, SPD are very desperately trying to recruit more officers. They simply just don't have all of the resources right now. Additionally, the city itself isn't prosecuting SWs so police aren't sending vice out there which previously was a good source of intel. And again, since the city repealed the prostitution loitering laws it makes it more difficult for SPD to approach SWs. In short, the city talks a big game but ultimately they fucked themselves and helped to create a situation. They like to blame the buyers (johns) for the existence and rise of prostitution, but they have a hand in this, too.

Definitely not I. I went from being a very (probably overly) zealous cruiser over the last 15 years down to zero in the last couple of months. Since 2020 with the arrival of all the out-of-town girls and changing hustle it's suddenly become very unappealing to me. Sure, there's a lot of lookers out there, but most are borderline rip-offs who aren't worth the hassle. I've taken to being more social and hanging-out with friends more often these days in addition to foreign travel and I have to say I've been much happier. I haven't even been seeing regulars who hit me up, that's how disconnected I've become lately. I used to get quite a few PMs and that's dried-up, too. My feeling is that a lot of us who've been regular cruisers over the years have slowed-down in the last few years, seems that a lot of the regular guys haven't really been happy with the girls and scene out there.

Further, SWs who don't have a pimp aren't really tolerated out there and are usually chased-off. When a new girl arrives on scene, the other girls almost instantly ask who her "people" are, if she can't or won't give up information then the other SWs tell their pimps. That's when the pimps show-up and get in the new girl's face. So the SWs themselves play a part in all of that. Any SW who works on a corner for any significant amount of time is very likely pimped, she just won't last out there if she isn't. The culture doesn't tolerate independent SWs out there. This especially goes for any SW who is social with the other girls out there. Further, the SWs know who is underage and who isn't and none of them ever say anything about it. So in my opinion they're part of the problem. Nobody will convince me that other SWs didn't instantly know about the 11 and 15 year-old girls out on Aurora. As soon as those girls were out there it's very very likely that they were approached by other SWs. So they're all in this together.

One of the problems with the city repealing the prostitution loitering laws is that it cut-off contact with enforcement officers who could stop and ID and talk to the girls out there. And with the City Attorney's office refusing to prosecute any sex worker who is arrested, the SPD stopped arresting the girls. So now nobody knows who is what out on AA. SWs know, but they aren't going to say anything. The city has a role in creating this situation. Finally, the news story mentioned that the two underage girls were lured after posting in a group about make-up tips, you can't tell me that the pimp didn't have one of his girls doing the talking. That last part if my opinion, of course, but I'm wiling to put money on that opinion. They're all in it together.
