Yes thanks, that's where I was talking about. I'd tried going to Langley again a while back but must have been in the wrong part to recognize. Found it this time. Parked on Douglas Cres near Fraser Hwy and there are several AMPs right there in walking distance. It was a weekday around noon and most only had 1-2 girls working, of all different races. Ended up at Orchid where there were 5 girls in 20's to 30's to choose from. All were $. 5 for CFS, CBJ and DFK for 30 minutes. I picked Jess, a gorgeous 28 yo from Malaysia. They have the best rooms from what I've seen in town. Nice showers in each spacious room, sink, clean towels and big beds. She took great care of me with a big smile and truly seemed to love her job! I would have been happy with each of the girls there. And I'd consider myself fairly picky.

Ate some lunch and then decided for round 2. Went back to Aqua Spa where I was quoted $ and there was a tiny Thai cutie there. It was ok, and definitely worth the $, but she needs a little experience. Was a little awkward at times. Did everything I wanted, but she just seemed a little uncomfortable with things, even though I was slow, gentle and a gentleman. Next time in town I'd probably get the lineups from each AMP, though it's probably a safe bet I'll end up back at Orchid.

Next time include Jenny Spa (up The Fraser Hwy a few blocks) in your rotation.

I think you're describing the town of Langley (which is about 10 miles and of the border) and closer to the Lynden vs. I5 Blaine crossing. There are about a half-dozen spots within a 5 block radius that have many varieties from which to choose. Does that ring a bell?

BECU credit cards is use what I up there, no cash advance fees and the rate conversion is pretty damm close to what you get when you look on google. Its not as good as the exchange places there but sometimes the traffic and etc will not be worth the hassle of finding the place.

All I do is pay the 3. 50 or 4 dollar fee to the Canadian ATM fee.

Depending on your bank, you might be able to get Canadian money at your bank before you head up to Canada. Thats what I've done before where you place an order for a foreign currency of your choice and have it sent to your local bank branch. Usually within 1-2 days it will be there for you to pick it up. It's always nice having the money already in my wallet but going to an atm in Canada works as well as long as you have a bank that doesn't charge for foreign transaction fees.

I don't know about other services, but this one isnt an awful option. You can work out the math before hand and have a zero fee exchange transaction.

If you're traveling out of the country much I'd definitely recommend finding a bank that doesn't charge international ATM fees on their debit cards (a lot of banks charge a 1-3% fee for international withdrawals). There's a few options out there, but it's worth it for the convenience and not having to get screwed by fees at a currency exchange or ATM.

I used to go to a currency exchange place, but they've been out of the way and always a wait. Now I just hit a ATM after I cross the border and get to the action. I've never experienced excessive fees. I'm sure some agencies and AMPs would take a credit card. I just don't trust them enough to try.

Several ways to accomplish this (and the last / least way would be pay by CC).

You can convert your USD at yours (or any othe US bank) into CAD and the exchange would be whatever their 'money desk' has posted.

You can hit the duty-free shop at the border (I did this yesterday) and my $150 became $190 so about a 79% exchange rate.

You can use a Canadian ATM and accept the $3 fee, their exchange rate and whatever your bank charges for an out-of-country transaction.

You can pay w / CC but are going to be hit with a GST of about 10% on top of the actual cost.

I usually opt for #2.

Then there's also less risk for mongers. The environment also makes for a more fun experience. The BC women I've experienced have mostly been way more playful and service oriented. I've yet to go thru an agency. I like going to the AMPs and getting the lineup. There's many areas where you can park and check out several storefronts all within walking distance. Some are all Asian, many have a mix of races.
