Ted Talk. The Laws that Sex Workers Really Want

Actually I was just chewing on that after "yet another sex workers rights" group stood up recently as is making all the rounds in the mass media and like usually they frame it the same "We need to decriminalized sex work because all those evil mongers!" And OFC I'm always like "please, this entire industry has both it's good and bad but on whole anybody who believes the mongers are the worst of the two on average is fooling themselves at best, disingenuous at worse".

But it did get me thinking. Are there actually any monger advocacy groups? Like hell even with drug legalization you have "customer advocacy groups" and sex work seems to be one of the rare (only?) goods that is entirely seller protection driven to the point of advocating sellers should have carte blanche to exploit and blackmale the customer. I thought (showing my age LOL) there was a punter / monger advocacy group with real membership and solid PR back in the 1980's in the UK organized by the punternet folk but might be a faulty memory. Anybody happen to know if any such advocacy group even exists, US or internationally anymore? Or, like all things, has mongering been even further marginalized as just a subset of "evil oppressors crying. Bunch of loser MGTOW / incel / MRA / rapist / pedos!

That's an interesting term, "carte blanche," complete freedom to act as one wishes or thinks best. I had never heard it before. I would certainly love to have the ability, as a provider, to openly discuss the hobby. It is very difficult to know what you as a hobbyist will or can experience during an encounter, which is a big issue when you are the client. A lot of people rely on the reviews to feel out whether you want to contact a companion. However, it can be misleading because every encounter is different, and everyone wants to experience different things. People who work in the adult industry should be protected against bad actors. Unfortunately, when a provider runs into trouble, the general reaction by law enforcement is to blame; they don't protect their rights that every American has.

It's also very unfortunate that people who are just seeking pleasure and happiness that does not harm anyone, they are not freely able to. We need more pleasure and happiness in the world, not less of it.

Notice how every conversation about sex work makes it a women's rights issue. You will never seen a TED Talk done with "The Law that Mongers Really Want" or any consideration anywhere on the other side of the coin. It's amusing it's one of the few jobs out there where the CUSTOMER is the one that everybody cheerleads getting shafted.
