Well, it is pretty obvious from the distribution of arrests that ECB is the center of the trade. However, there are a whole lot of arrests both north and south of ECB that make me wonder if there is action in the side streets.

Here in Orlando we have a street called Orange Blossom Trail that hosts the majority of the sex trade, but you can often find action on a parallel street one block to the East. You can also find girls hanging around on the small side streets intersecting OBT. The reason for this is because LE has been cracking down so hard that girls walking the main drag get nabbed by the sweeps that OC Sherriff's Office runs regularly. The girls on the side streets don't get as many customers, but they don't get arrested as often, either.

From the pattern of arrests around ECB in San Diego, I wonder if the same thing could be happening. Maybe SDSO has driven the girls over to University and the side streets. Another possibility is that they are busting girls and their johns who have pulled over to the side streets for a quick in-car BJ. Yet another possibility is that they are nabbing the girls on ECB, but pulling off into the side streets to do their paperwork and recording the side street address on the police report.

Hard to say which is the case, but it is worth checking out just in case there is action north and south of ECB.

Some of the arrests seem a little strange. The girls arrested on University av could have been girls just walking to ECB. I have not checked University on a regular basis, but it might be worth a try.

Do these new threads imply that the General reports are for ECB and other areas? Seems all we write about is ECB. There were other areas in the past too.

I'm an old hand from the Orlando and Brazil areas of WSG. I'm moving to San Diego this summer and am likely to be taking up my old habits in my new haunts. ;-)

I found something interesting on the SD County Sherriff's site. Check this out:

Yeah, I know it is a big nasty link, but this is pretty cool stuff. You can see ALL of the arrests for prostitution made by ALL SD county LE in the last 60 days laid out on a map. As you can see, there have been about 40 arrests on the ECB/University track in the last two months. If you pan around the rest of the county, you can see that there probably aren't even half that number in the rest of the county.

So as far as the COPS know, there is ONE live area in all of San Diego -- ECB. If there were other good areas, our Big Brothers in law enforcement would certainly be there. In El Cajon, there was exactly 1 arrest in the last 60 days. I figure if the cops can't find the girls, I doubt I can either.

I plan to visit this map every month or two to see where the action is heading.

Maybe a thread of "Other Areas" might interest some. Then again, these are far\ different times and I must say I have only rarely gotten lucky in recent years in old haunts. Old haunts like Market Street, for example. Same for say Imperial Ave. I hate to sound too OG but after 3 decades around town, I find it a challenge to go hunting in different areas. I have been happy that I looked in other places many times in the past. You just never know. Example: I met someone who went to my old high school once on Market and 28th. We drove over to the high school and had some fun. It was practically a high school GFE. So in other words, you just never know what you will find in other areas.
