[Hawaii Raven]

Hostess bar scene seems to be dying down slowly. If you got a different opinion then please discuss. Cruising around lately, mostly in town but a few stops in Kalihi. Seems emptier then before and the girls seem to be getting older or not into service and seem to want to look at their phones instead of talking to customers. Probably waiting for established customers that they know will spend money.

Checked out Kalihi side. Vegas is dead ever since mama jumped shop to Camelot. Green Tee decent but nothing to get excited about lately. Honu seems full a lot but eh.

Back in town, Business decent but seems more like the big spenders show up and everyone disappears into private rooms and the bar just looks empty. Decent lookers but more looking at their phone then anything else. VB's dead. Splash bartop half empty and only one booth full. Camelot seemed to be the busiest since mama from Vegas went there and took a lot of girls there too. Busy the few times we went.

Am I missing something or going to the wrong bars? Oh well, that was just my two cents.

Just heard from her coworker that she purchased the business. Don't know how that works though. March 1 is when she takes over. Wishing her the best of success. Stay Safe.

If you said she purchased the place is saying she now owns the master lease. I wish her well as that bar's operating hours has been 6 am to 2 am.

It's taking over the old Platinum Lounge location. Don't have a definite open date yet. It's that time of year for bar merry-go-round.

Heard its much larger, they took over the business next door, not sure it they demo'd the entire wall or made just wide enough for building code.

I've gone past the Old Platinum bar after it opened with the new owners and the parking lot is always full even along the side of the building. Heard they bought out the business next door so it's larger than the old place. Not sure what business they took over I know there used to be a beauty salon close by. Anyone gone there since the new opening / owner Nikki took over and does she have a business partner? Give us a scouting report.

Agree seems like a gym for strikers, Mui Thai and grapplers. They seemed friendly enough. That being said seems like the bar below has been mostly slow. That aside I was informed that ex-Wave mama Michelle will be the mama at Green Tee starting March 1st. Not sure if it will be a soft opening but she's excited about her new venture. I have no intel as to what GT staff will be staying on or carrying over from Wave / Kalihi Station. Be safe this week gents.

Downstairs bar ownership changing in mid March. When the failed Rail project come into the are (IF). The city is losing so much money Mayor after Mayor, Gov after Gov, Senators and City Council have failed our tax payers. No solutions for homeless, affordable housing, cost of living etc. Rail will raise fees to all tax payers and the connected real estate tycoons will get richer and richer. More locals will relocate to mainland being priced out of Paradise for $$ Bar guys like us have less choices look at all the bars that have closed and redeveloped.

Lease purchase is what I heard but don't bet your proceeds on it. I was told that the whole block was slated to become a rail substation in 2 years. We'll see. Stay Safe Young Man.

Drove by last night the parking lot was full. Not sure if customer cars or girls. Drove past Starlite the parking lot was full too even in the back. Guess no DUI check points this weekend, no football games until Super Bowl on the 11th.

They are having a Grand Opening on Feb 1st. The bar is very small to begin with so I don't know how the remodeling went as far as making more space, etc.

Pink lights in the recessed fixtures, swapped the booths from a blue to red color and angled the toilet for a more comfortable shitting the experience. Food was standard grand opening fare. Didn't recognize any of the ladies so must all be from town. I'll go back on a slow day to check it again.

Sounds like a standard now days. Girls always get recycled from other bars and when it gets slow they return to where they came from. LOL.
