I know it is terribly unfashionable and unPC to point out how monger could have operated differently, but it pisses me off when a dude makes a rookie mistake, when it can be easily avoided. I'll use this post as an example and hope OP understands my point is educating others on "how to" monger, rather than bashing!

One of the rules there is #23, Never Pay Upfront! Shoot there are even techniques in a follow up post on how to avoid not paying up front! But hey, every month we see a dude write a report on how he got ripped off and 90% of the time it is from paying up front.

The more lukers pay up front and get scammed, the more these girls will pull this stuff. It is easy money. Why flatback with some dude when he will willingly hand over money? Same con with gas money up front, paying the baby sitter or a deposit. Just don't do it!

Huge props to OP for reporting the scam! Most wouldn't do that! Kudos.

So dated a girl from a referral recently and she was skittish as heck! Had good reason to be as she had been recently attacked by some idiot who was trying to scam her and when she caught the scam and decided to get away the dude cut her. She had the stitches to prove the story.

Goes something like this. Dude offers the girl a "trade" of some drugs for a date. Lays a baggie of stuff on a dresser. Girl tells me the dude was giving her a bad vibe and the stuff on the dresser didn't look packaged like stuff she normally gets. So she trusts her instincts and decides to leave. Nothing worse than an idiot who's scam is discovered and his bluff called. Instead of letting her out, he grabs a knife and lunges at her. Caught her in the side, but she was able to record the attack on her phone and get out of there! Fortunately she was smart enough to call the police and hopefully dude gets locked up.

Girl was smart in going to the PD as she can take the charge for "solicitation" a misdemeanor versus the dude who is looking at real jail time on a felony. So anyone who things stuff like this is a good idea needs to see the bigger picture: Felony versus misdemeanor. Er, that is unless Wilm PD shrugs their shoulders and says, "what? A junkie wh*re got stabbed, she got what she deserved. " Hopefully our female AG is more attuned at stopping violence against women regardless of their profession or the background.

It just makes me sick to see stuff like this. That girl is someone's daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, etc. You would not treat your sister, cousin, niece or aunt that way, why with a girl who is working for her money? Anyone who thinks a girl is "less than" because she is providing needs to look in the mirror- you are a wh*remonger, what makes you any better?

Most of these girls are good people inside, just caught in the vicious cycle of drugs. Oh sure there are a few scammers or girls who play games, but most are OK and deserve to be treated as you would want your sister treated. We can out the scammers on these boards, so guys can avoid them. But let's commit to treating ALL girls providing with respect! Don't be an idiot or a Delaware Douchebag!

One can always take short cuts, but in doing so one has to accept the responsibility of the risks involved.

So from this chair it only makes sense to fully COMPARTMENTALIZE your IRL from your hobbying. Burner phone, app on the burner. Keeps you free from the scammers and blackmailers and provide safety from the SO snooping. So many things out there that not everyone thinks of but have seen happen that forms the basis of the opinion offered.

Oh and for goodness sake, turn off the location stuff on the burner phone. Only time I use it is when away from home or normal route and then to use GPS to find a place, but turn it off as soon as place is found.

Why not a hiding place for the burner? Inside tool bag next to the spare tire? What are the chances the SO is going to be changing a flat tire on YOUR car? Maybe a mechanic dropped it while servicing the car? Maybe you put it there in case of an accident where the regular phone was destroyed?

Everyone is free to manage risk as they see fit. YMMV.

I have had apps crash or let numbers through in the past and I really recommend against it. Buying a cheap $20 flip phone with cash and some prepaid cards really goes a long way. Especially if you have a snooping old lady!

For newbies and/or lurkers, the picture I posted with the white top comes up with hits from another city (New England?) I use Google images for reverse image searches. Others use Tineye. Maybe there are others?

To answer the first part - pic and numbers in a advert. Yes, that could be enough. (perhaps some are not aware that STG blocks those who surf safely using a VPN, so just a link means those dudes can't see a number or pic in an advert. ) I all depends on how one wants to use the tool that is USASG. This can be just a site like "Ask" one off, anon Q&A.

Problem is that there are a whole bunch of posts like that and the replies all tend to say "she" or "her." Kinda hard to use any of the reviews in retrospect with no reference points. That's fine I guess, but traditionally the value of the site has been the history left behind. So a girl disappears and reemerges a few months later, the one thing that doesn't change is her face, tats and other physical attributes. Also with her name in the record others can do a search, find info and decide to see her. Otherwise, each member needs to sit here, click on external links and make sure they comment right away. So far, in our small state, doesn't look like answers come that fast.

As far as experience goes. I had to learn the hard way to use the experience of others on this site, rather than go through a few more scrapes. Nothing wrong with being ignorant (unknowledgeable) as education is the "cure!" Every time I think I know it all is when I tend to find trouble. There is so much collective knowledge here on "how to" it would be a shame to eschew that in favor of the "School of Hard Knocks. ".

But hey, everyone is free to use the "tool" here and contribute to the wealth of info left behind, or not. At least when asking for help, would it make sense to help people help you?
