I refuse to commit one cent to a potential SB beyond normal drinks / dinner / coffee, until I know she is down to proceed as desired. I always have a first meet at either a bar or coffee place. If things are bad right away, I create an excuse to leave, and I'm out maybe five bucks.

Stay away. Unfortunately she will lead you on and never show up. Had hotel already paid for her to decide suddenly that's she can't make it despite multiple confirmations.

After calling a number of STG girls one night I received a somewhat similar text one day, but also claiming that if I didn't pony up $$ for wasting "one of my girls time" They would use my cell phone number to find where I worked (I am self-employed) and report me to HR. They would also find where I lived and "come over to F* me up. I simply replied, "knock yourself out, a**hole. Me and my friends Smith and Wesson would love to meet you. ".

Has not happened since.

It was not a number I was in contact with. I ignored the message and nothing ever came from it. My assumption is someone I briefly chatted with was a scammer and passed my burner number to some Nigerian scam call center.
