My posts on another now defunct site absolutely lead to my plea offering being different from the other seven that were arrested that day, and there are other members here that can vouch for that. I've lived what I'm speaking about. They were not offered up in court, but in my second meeting with my attorney, this occurred:

Lawyer: Are you posting about the sting operation online somewhere?

Me: Yes. How did you know about that?

Lawyer: The prosecutor called and isn't happy about it.

Me: Does it matter?

Lawyer: Well, they are pulling the original plea agreement.

I could list what my plea was, but that doesn't matter here. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about, despite your insults. I couldn't have been arrested or convicted because of what I stated online, but how willing a prosecutor is to be lenient (or not) has zero to do with the way any laws are written. Until you've walked 40 hours of community service in my shoes, you don't know what I know.

To be expunged takes 7 years and it is NOT automatic. How do I know? I went through it. Making light of a criminal conviction seems unwise. Casting aside job / relationship damage seems very foolish as this misdemeanor with "fricking minimal" legal damage can ruin your life.

You should take a course in reading comprehension. I didn't say that job / relationship damage are not important. I said specifically that I was speaking only to the legal issues. (The word "aside" is the important word in the sentence.) I did this to let people know that if they are stopped / arrested, they should be aware of what the end result will more than likely be.

I also went through it with others in a sting. It's two years. A simple google search will show that the law even without a plea agreement is five years. You should demand a refund from your shit-for-brains attorney

I confirmed with my attorney before hand. It was a good call to show I am leaving the hobby and taking ownership.

Also just a heads up so all on thread, so I don't have to respond to any more posts. Prostitution is a A Misdemeanor indeed however, promoting is a felony.

Earl is correct that simple prostitution is generally dealt with as a misdemeanor. However since there were other ladies involved but not charged, if the constable chooses to make it a felony he can write it as procuring a provider and the providing of services. The two together according to Indiana law becomes or can become a Felony and carries some stiff penalties. Indiana also has a law that says a lady caught providing can have her family, boss, and anyone they choose to inform notified and one can only guess what that would do for a lady or her client. Since the client was LE nothing for him but everything for those involved. The law has changed from the old days from a simple citation and fine to let's put down the hammer. You roll for us and we keep you safe. Otherwise if we choose, we can legally throw the book at you. That is the local law now as of 2014 or 15. Just something to think about. Think before you leap.

One final bit of wisdom to pass along. Job and / or relationship damage aside, the legal damage is minimal. . . FRICKING MINIMAL. Patronizing a prostitute is a misdemeanor, one which is expunged if you keep your nose clean for 24 months after the conviction. The penalty for said misdemeanor (unless you go online after your arrest and post details of the sting operation in which you and seven others were just caught up in) is a four hour class on a Saturday in which you are told how to be a better citizen. Even that isn't so bad, as there's a good chance that there will be providers in that class, so you might even get some new phone numbers. (Speaking in a Wilford Brimley voice): Back in my day, they used to put your mugshot on IMPD's website. . . They don't even do that anymore. The processing in Marion County lockup isn't great. Let's be honest. However, even that has it's high points. About four hours in, there's a good chance that someone will yell the following from the other side of the room, "ANYONE WHO IS WILLING TO TAKE AN AIDS TEST GETS A FREE CANDY BAR! So there's that I suppose, along with the fact that throughout your processing, if others know what you're in for, you will receive approximately 200 offers for cheap pugsy from Indy's finest pimps and playas.

I contacted Jan and setting up a visit with her could not have been more easy as I had met with Candace in the past. I cannot agree more with what has been said of Jan. She is the image of the cute, petite, women next door who catches your eye each time you see her. I found her to be extraordinarily friendly, cheerful, and unrushed. She smelled wonderful and her hair is as soft as silk. Jan thoroughly enjoyed kissing and caressing which is a absolute must-have in my book of memorable experiences. This was 110% GFE, and will certainly be sharing Jan's company going forward.

If she was caught and flipped, it would be very brazen of her to keep advertising like she is now on several sites. However, if she is no longer in possession of her credentials, then someone else is posting those ads.

I don't know her, so I'm not going to contact her. However, one of you who does know her, should contact her and test the person that answers to see if she's legit or not. Asking her a couple of questions that only you know the answer to should do it.

It would be helpful if she logged in here and filled us in. But that might be regarded as deception by the readers of the forum.

I know her and would recognize her voice. PM me her number or a link to one of the ads. I'll be happy to help my fellow mongers by calling her and asking her about mundane non-sexual things. FYI, Milfy is a great provider, but she's a complete space case. Why she's that way may be a result of different things I suppose. If you know her, I'm guessing you'll agree with the fact that she very possibly would be the type of person to casually say "yeah, he's fine", without really thinking about who is being referenced. Unless the law has changed recently, in Indiana, just making an offer of, or agreeing to an offer of prostitution is the same thing as actually going through with it. Just the discussion of sex for money / favor of some kind or saying that you will pay money / some favor for sex if an offer is made to you you are guilty of prostitution. On the street that's how they nail 20 guys in a few hours. A decoy will make you an offer if you don't make one first. As soon as you make the offer, or agree to her offer you are guilty. You cannot claim entrapment if she makes the offer. So, if an arrest for prostitution will destroy your marriage / relationship or cost you your job you should not be in this hobby at any level. It happens and as recent events prove anyone is vulnerable at anytime. Think about that the next time you're getting the itch to play. What might you lose? Is it worth it? I am not trying to talk anyone out of the hobby. I am luckier than most of you in the regard that I am not married or in a serious relationship. Nor would I lose my job.

The point is they will become whoever and say whatever to advance their cause which is finding and catching clients and service providers. Make sure every device you use is secured by a strong password. Every time you access a hobby related site and your hobby email, you should be reentering your credentials. When you go to visit a someone, make sure your devices require your password by powering them off, or resetting them, etc. If the police confiscate the electronic device, they have nothing unless you give them the key to it. You have the right to remain silent, and that includes being silent about your password (s) and credentials to sites, email, etc.

They can't promise you anything like "it will go better for you if you cooperate with us" or "we'll let you off if you help us get x". If they say this, they are lying. The prosecutor makes that call. Not the field officers.
