Late at night when the regular businesses are closed there are sometimes drug addicts in that vicinity (male, female and/or transgender), some who use the partially obscured area under the building to do whatever. Although I have no knowledge of any vehicle break-ins, it seems like an area where that could happen late at night if there's something visible inside that a drug addict would want to steal.
