SlapShot- You aren't kidding about being F'd up. It is bad enough having your picture on there but then to have the picture of the SWs and showing everyone what kind of gal you let in the car! I hope LE altered those photos, cause' they looked pretty rough.

If the situation wasn't so tragic, it might actually be funny. National crime "experts" still tout Minnesota as being the cradle of most of the prostitutes working in North America today. You sure couldn't prove it by the amount of prostitution going on up in the Twin Cities. SW are of heinous, ugly, addicted quality, and cruising for them will possibly lead to arrest and the mandatory confiscation of your automobile. Figure the average monger-mobile being valued at around 15 thousand dollars; that's one hell of a fine for soliciting the services of a prostitute. However, LE strategy seems to be working. Reports from E. Lake St. in Mpls. are dismal. Yes, escorts are still available by the dozens, but the tariff of between $$ and $$$ is out of my league; I don't work for a Fortune 500 corp. that offers huge expense accounts. Massage places are still available, but unlike the good ol' days, they're very underground. To the poster a couple articles back who will be in Edina; don't do it, man. You'll get busted, find nothing worth banging anyway, and become an embarrassment to your family and co-workers. If you can't find a reasonably-priced escort, try the massage places listed under "erotic massage" at www.tcuncovered.com and www.eros-mn.com. Also, check the back pages of the weekly City Pages, available free at news stands all over the Twin Cities. The new edition comes out each Wednesday. Most of all, be careful. A legal alternative, albeit a stupid and expensive one, would be to visit Sex World in the warehouse district just north of downtown Minneapolis. They have private dancer booths (girl behind glass) or "jack-shacks" as they are sometimes called. Very, very expensive. I have had a couple great experiences in Minneapolis, but these days, the ridiculous $$$ fee is more than I can manage. What do these women think? IMHO, the price of a lay should be no more than what you'd pay another body-service professional, such as a therapeutic massage professional, who will typically charge $75.00/hour. I am looking for information on the sauna/massage/bookstore scene in Minneapolis from around 1970-1990. I am researching some information on adult-themed businesses in that time. Back to the review...as luck would have it, I was able to get back to the KOD for several hours last week on another trip and had a blast. I hate to say "I told you so." Regular readers will remember that I warned of the LE stings nearly a month before they happened. My contact in the MPD warned me of upcoming LE sting ops in the E. Lake Street area, and I dutifully passed along the info to this forum. Here's a cute trick to consider. New cellular telephone batteries are on the market which light up when the phone is in use. The cool side-effect is that the phone battery will also light in the presence of other radio signals (i.e. a body wire on a police decoy). Just a thought. Here are a couple ideas for staying safe. Do not cruise for SW in your car. Stroll and chat. If you find a possible provider, arrange to meet later at a local bar or eatery. That way, there's no vehicle to confiscate. Do not carry drugs or other illegal items when you monger; note that the quoted Star-Trib story stated that two of the men arrested also were in possession of drugs. Do not carry I.D.; it is not a legal requirement that you do, so don't. Most importantly, don't make LE's job easier. Invoke your Fifth Amendment rights, demand to see an attorney the minute LE reveals itself, demand to know what the officer's "specific articulable facts" are regarding your arrest or detention. Be polite. Don't run. Don't give copper the slightest chance to exercise his innate rage against humanity on you. Cops enjoy handing out physical abuse; that's one reason they're cops. Be cool. As long as stupid laws regarding play for pay exist, we've gotta be extra-careful.

I made the Lake St. cruise friday night.Very interesting,LE every where.Two on bikes peddling the side streets,two marked cars pulled off to the side to keep an eye on vehicles going by and two marked cars making stops."By the way if any MPD are reading this, you fucking assholes,why don't you go after the multible drug dealers I saw in the area,and try to stop all the gang murders going on around the area,and leave the mongers alone."Anyway I saw this mid 40's WSW standing at the intersection at 55 very obvious and dumb,man was she ugly even at 75 ft away.I got a good chuckle out of that one.Saw several BSW which normally I prefer but all looked in there 40's and rough.Except for some gorgeous ebony ladies I saw go into a club about midnight damn were they smokin',me wishin' they were workin' I seen my find for the night a fairly attractive WSW at about 11.She was with her pimp on a side street when I first seen her. Dear Bysshe and other members of WSG,

My point in posting the letter that I did was for feedback and so I am happy that a senoir member of the forum has given his thoughts and advice. That is the great thing about this board.

I agree with Dodger that the legal talk is a bit of a bummer, but I feel forwarned is forearmed. Having said that and having read Bysshe's comments I would like to say...

That I feel that the twin cities is still a great place to monger. Despite a news report and LE attention in the area this is still a great area. I have mongered in many cities in the US, as well as Tiawan, Costa Rica, Mexico, London, and Venezuela and I can tell you that LE will not go away and that it is still basically a 'safe' hobby.

Use common sence, listen to your instincts, and most importantly, read lots of advice from this board. I used to live in Portland, OR and I think their posts , from an active community with high LE presence, are very good reading.

Bottom line is that WSG is too important of a resource to ignore or be afraid about. LE, like all government services, is stretched thin these days so don't worry fellow mongers. USe the board. Don't be a lurker. If everyone posted then we would not have to worry about LE and they would ignore us. Why? Because they wouold not be able to follow up on everything.

So post and post often. Post everytime you see something. Post everytime you experience something. Post just to say hi and give hi fives to other lucky stiffs [!].

All of the legalese, although important and helpful is bringing me down. Thought I would share that yet again I spent a wonderful (albeit expensive beer-wise) evening at the King of Diamonds a few nights ago. It's nice to sit upfront close to the nudity and girls and really get a feel for how they are, then move back and pick a handful to dance for you.
