I think it's time for the Coachella Valley to have their own section. I realize the last post on this thread was made in 2006, but the Palm Springs thread under other areas has began to increase with pretty much daily activity between various posters and those that come from out of town. Just peeking through the stats of the tread. The Palm Springs area thread has more reports than Redlands or San Mateo. Both areas with a main section of the board.

Moving the thread to it's own section would allow those that travel through the area or vacation to easily post their reports with mps, escorts or SW. Get us our section Jackson!

    Thank you!

    Coachella Valley Action

Coachella Valley is comprised of the area North of the Salton Sea (Mecca) to Palm Springs. It includes the towns of Thermal, Coachella, Indio, La Quinta, Indian Wells, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City, and Palm Springs. There are currently around 350, 000 year around residents and growing explosively.

Five years ago Indio Blvd. Had consistent street action any time of day. Today the outlook of the area is very different. With all of the new development money, Indio and most of the other areas started funding their police departments for a crackdown on prostitution. Indio blvd has dried up to just a few desperate BSW and crack****** that may be better off with a bed and a meal at city expense.

On the other hand amps have exploded. There are numerous ads in the local paper (The Desert Sun). I have not partaken but I hear the price is about 60/140. The high prices are due to the fact that the rich old farts that come to retire hear can afford it. The amps are kind of hard to warm up to because it takes at least two visits to get fs.

There are plenty of expensive 200+ escorts and Craigslist ads in the Palm Springs section. There are two topless clubs (Seventh Heaven, Coachella and Showgirls in Cathedral city) and one nude club in Palm Springs (Pope's). If you think you are lucky there are three Indian casinos with some semipros.

In my opinion you are better off driving an hour and twenty to a Bloomington amp for 40/60. That about sums up the Coachella Valley. I don't think it merits its own section. It is just fine in the Other Areas section under Palm Springs. If anyone disagrees lets see some asp posts to justify a section. Odo

The San Fernando Valley has a population of nearly TWO Million People, it is with traffic 1 hour from downtown, w/o 25 minutes, it has numerous subsections in it, same with Los Angeles, it does NOT make sense to combine sections that are so very diffrent and widespread, there are to many sub post's and threads to keep track of, I for one don't want to scroll through and click ten sections to get to one, I say add one section for the 2-3 post's in the desert, Oh wait we have that Section it's called "Other Areas"

    Population Information

My "population information" comes from the awareness of having grown up in the Imperial Valley (which is directly below the Coachella Valley), and multiple trips TO Palm Springs, and Indio, NEITHER of which has over 100,000 people as permenant residents in them. I am wondering what geographic area exactly this "Coachella Valley" is being measured by, as outdside of Palm Springs, or Indio, WHAT is out there?

    Coachella Valley

Since the "Coachella Valley" is actually part of Riverside County, CA, why not just add it as a SEPERATE LINK within the "Riverside" (County) forum, and while you are at it, CONSOLIDATE some of the "L.A. County forums" (e.g. San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, Inglewood, etc.) into ONE "L.A. COUNTY" forum with seperate links (as you did for the disjointed "Orange County" ones earlier!). This will "clean up" some of the CA board.

    Ummm

If you can verify the reports are there, at least a couple a week in either the Amp or S/W section ya if not it will proably die out like alot of other areas. If the people need it Give them what they need, if not don't, I hate to see areas with 0 post's the entire year. Maybe we need to clean up the board and remove dead areas. Oh and Ban the morons that continue to put the craigslist review in the general section even after there told where the right section is. Dumb Bastards =)

    Coachella Valley

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the criteria for an area to be started was that the "community" had to have AT LEAST 100,000 people in it? All the Coachella Valley (Indio, Palm Springs-the gay mecca of So. CA!), and the Imperial Valley would not add up to that! By the way, as someone who grew up in El Centro, I have seen more action there, then I have in some larger communities, so maybe adding a very LARGE desert area (e.g.-the whole 760 area code) would be good, and let members "thread" in where they get action at.

Need A Place For Us Coachella Valley Peeps

I used to post in the OC board but moved to Indio about 2 months ago.

I have found on my own that Indio Blvd can have some SW's, but would really like more imput from fellow mongers.

Please Jackson, look out for us desert rats!

I am not making any condemnation of any group but Desert Hot Springs has a strong reputation as a gathering place for Gays. I would carefullly inspect any selection that is made there unless that is your "thing".

In general the Coachella Valley is mostly just isolated escort services and massage ladies who advertise in the local papers. The only SW action I have ever seen is on Indian Canyon away from the Interstate and towards PS town and along the Indio freeway exit where the old Dennys is and that was quite a while back. Of course heavy LE interest in those isolated areas since that sort of enforcement is much more fun than busting more serious crimes.

Don't forget to take a look at Desert Hot Springs. I've seen heavy LE and SW action there in the summer evenings.

Why not? Can't see any harm in it.

Having spent many weekends along Highway 111 either on business or on vacation there is a definite need for a section for Coachella Valley. Now that Indian Gaming is continuing to grow, one wonders if Indian Brothels might not be far behind? It seems to be a hot topic among some message boards among tribe members (But of course this is just gossip). I know that the next time I head to the desert ( I live and post in Pasadena), I shall check this board.

    Take care,

I sometimes have to travel thru this area & it's always nice to be informed. Why not combine this place with El Centro & that whole below-sea- level area? The SW I've seen in El Centro would make excellent bikini models on the beautiful Salton Sea shores.
